Born as Linda Edna Cardellini on June 25 1975, she is an American actress and voice actress. She was born in Redwood City, California to Lorraine and Wayne David Cardellini. She has Italian, Irish and German roots and was raised as a Catholic. She started appearing in public at the age of ten ad later acted in several school productions and started attending drama lessons. She graduated from Mountain View’s Catholic St. Francis High School in 1993 and moved to Los Angeles to get TV and movie roles.
Cardellini participated in a 1994 episode of The Price is Right, and won a fireplace. She is famous for playing Lindsay Weir on Freaks and Geeks (1999-2000), Samantha Taggart on ER (2003-2009) and Meg Rayburn on Bloodline (2015-2017). She was nominated for an Emmy Award for playing the role of Sylvia Rosen on Mad Men (2013-2015).
Cardellini is also famous for appearing as Velma Dinkley in the Scooby-Doo live-action film series (2002-2004), as Cassie in Brokeback Mountain (2005), and as Laura Barton in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). She was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for her performance in Return (2011). She also appeared in a Best Picture winner film Green Book as Dolores Vallelonga.
Cardellini’s voice honors include the animated TV series Regular Show (2012- 2015), Gravity Falls (2012-2016) and Sanjay and Craig (2013-2016).
Cardellini attended the Loyola Marymount University’s College of Communication and Fine Arts, graduating with a degree in theatre arts in 2000. In the year 2007, she was named as a “Distinguished Alumna” by the university. She was in a relationship with her Freaks and Geeks co-star Jason Segel for five years after the show’s cancellation. In the October of 2011, Cardellini and her boyfriend Steven Rodriguez declared her pregnancy. Cardellini’s daughter was born in February 2012. Cardellini got engaged to
Rodriguez in June 2013.
