Whitney Port is an established American television personality, an author and a fashion designer. Born in Los Angeles, California, Port graduated from the University of Southern California in 2007. She majored in gender studies. After her graduation, she got an internship with two major magazines, one was Women’s Wear Daily and the other is W.
Port’s career gained prominence when she was chosen to be part of the reality television show The Hills. The show covered the personal and professional life of Port as well as her friend Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag, and Audrina Patridge. While the show was under production, Port was working with Teen Vogue and Kelly Cutrone’s People’s Revolution as well.
In 2008, Port shifted to New York City where she started working with Diane von Fürstenberg. Later she was offered to star in her own series which was a spin-off of The City series. The reality show initially followed the lives of Port and her companions which included Olivia Palermo, Jay Lyon and Adam Senn. The series underwent number casting adjustments. The show did not receive a good response and so, after running for two seasons it was cancelled. Port also launched her own fashion line called ‘Whitney Eve’ in the year 2009. She even appeared on the eighth cycle of the show Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model. She has made appearances in various movies. MTV announced rebooting The Hills during the MTV Music Awards in 2018. The reboot is titled The Hills: New Beginnings and is going to premiere in 2019 and Port is going to be an important part of the series.
