Smouldering Zayn Malik is getting serious with Little Mixer Perrie Edwards so we’re thinking both bands must be pretty tight. Most of the singers on either side are in relationships but they’ve all got loads in common. Both groups started out on The X Factor, they wind up at all the same events and are all a similar age. It’s what friendships are made of, right?

9. Nick Grimshaw

So Radio 1 breakfast show host Nick Grimshaw has singled out Harry Styles as his favourite member of 1D but the bubbly DJ seems to get along with the others well enough, too. Niall Horan often tries to worm his way in on the Harry-Grimmy bromance but we’re not sure if he’ll make it into the brotherhood anytime soon.

8. James Corden

Like Grimmers, James Corden also has a particular soft spot for 19-year-old Harry although it’s pretty clear he’s fond of the whole bunch. He paid special attention to Harry at The Brits last month but made sure he got the goss out of all five as he muscled in on their table chat at the music bash.

7. Olly Murs

Olly Murs and the fivesome struck up a fine friendship on The X Factor and the boys often enjoy a spot of golf together along with their mutual friends JLS. Ols supported 1D during their US tour last year and he’s always raving about how nice they all are, despite the fact Hazza dumped his Xtra Factor bezzie Caroline Flack back in 2011.

6. Cher Lloyd

Cher Lloyd and 1D both starred on the 2010 series of The X Factor. Both have gone their separate ways and yet they still remain pretty close. Cher is still plugging her latest stuff in the US and no doubt the boys will be hoping to catch up with her during the American leg of their current Take Me Home world tour.

5. Robbie Williams

Robbie Williams has made it quite clear he’s incredibly envious of the Kiss You singers, particularly Harry. ‘He’s beguiling, and so are One Direction,’ he said recently. The Take That star is convinced the boys have gotwhat it takes to take over the world, just like the Spice Girls, and is desperate for a piece of the action.

4. Katy Perry

We’re not too sure whether Katy Perry was joking when she said she had all of the One Direction dolls but we’re confident she’s got a not-so-secret crush on the lot of them. The Wide Awake singer even made a move on Niall as she presented the award for best pop video for their song What Makes You Beautiful during the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards last September. We’re not sure who we’d rather be!

3. Ed Sheeran

Suffolk star Ed Sheeran has penned a number of catchy tracks for his mates Harry, Niall, Liam, Zayn and Louis. The A Team singer is currently globe-trotting with Harry’s ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift but he’s vowed to never let the US songbird come between their friendship. The boys are always hanging out together when they’re all back in the UK and we can see this lot lasting the test of time.

2. Simon Cowell

If you want to make it in the music industry it’s fast becoming clear that Simon Cowell is the only one who can makes dreams happen. Not even Will.i.am and Tom Jones could produce any chart-topping talent on The Voice last year.  SiCo is often gushing over the band on Twitter and has probably secured them more X Factor guest slots in their short 3-year history than any other act. We’re convinced he loves the boys – and the money they generate – more than most.

1. Justin Bieber

Niall and Zayn are particularly fond of The Biebs but the entire gang all get along famously. They play guitar, cook noodles, pig out on KFC – you know, all the usual things – when they manage to catch up with one another amid their equally hectic schedules. Biebs sometimes struggles a bit as a solo artist and enjoys having some cronies to go around with. We’re thinking his impending breakdown could have been avoided if he’d had these five to get him back on the straight and narrow.

Kim swore off ever getting botox again (at least, until she’s 40) after some injections around her eyes left her with severe bruising, swelling and two black eyes. It turned out she’d had an allergic reaction to the botox but given she’d had it done in 2010 when she was just 29, should she really have had it done at all?

We don’t really know what’s going on with Sarah here. The Girls Aloud star displayed some mysteriously puffy lips in November last year but her wrinkle-free forehead and cheeks have also got us scratching our heads. There was speculation she’d had too many needles pricking her face, but we’ll leave you to make up your own minds.

3. Leslie Ash

The term ‘trout pout’ was coined back in 2002 when Leslie unveiled her shocking inflated lips. She’d had silicone injected into her top lip in order to make it appear fuller. But she then suffered an allergic reaction, however the effect she was going for was achieved has her mouth looked constantly swollen. It certainly put us off ever having a needle inserted into our lips.

2. Katie Price

Katie even labelled herself ‘Daffy Duck’ after this shocking botox image. She appeared on Sky News in 2010 but it didn’t matter that she was promoting her debut solo single at the time as all eyes were on her puffy face. If this isn’t enough to put every woman in the world off botox, we don’t know what is.

Kim’s ‘blood facial’ is by far the most gruesome, stomach-churning, unappealing celebrity beauty horror our eyes have ever seen. Having blood taken from her arm and then pricked back into her with nine tiny needles, all in the name of beauty, is ten steps too far for us.

Matt Di Angelo and ballroom pro Flavia Cacace really kicked things off in the Strictly Come Dancing romance stakes when they got together in 2007 on the BBC show’s fifth series. The couple finished in second place with the ex-EastEnders star saying he missed out on the winners position because he was too busy chatting up Flavia. Chantelle, however, revealed this week she’s been receiving roses on a daily basis from a mystery admirer and has an inkling as to who it could be. Could it be Preston?

One Direction star Zayn Malik and soul singer Rebecca Ferguson really hit it off on the 2010 series of The X Factor. They only lasted four months but Rebecca has been quick to comment on Zayn’s tumultuous relationship with Little Mixer Perrie Edwards. Mum-of-two Rebecca has hinted Zayn did the dirty and we’re still speculating as to what really went on. We’re sure it will all come out in the wash…

This unlikely bromance blossomed when TOWIE star Mark and McFly bassist Dougie headed Down Under for the 2011 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! These two really were inseparable on the show, maybe even  Ant & Dec in the making. Their relationship appears to have fizzled out since but we’re hoping they’re just as close nowadays.

We all enjoyed Simon Cowell’s cheeky banter with Louis Walsh during their time on The X Factor judging panel but Si’s bromance capabilities reached new heights when he teamed up with David Walliams on Britain’s Got Talent last year. These two are continuously flirting and poking fun at one another and we can’t wait to see what they get up to on the show’s upcoming series. Their bromance has saved BGT’s flailing rating and Si knows it. Keep up the good work, boys!

Ok, so these two didn’t actually get together when One Direction were on The X Factor back in 2010 but they hooked up at an X Factor after-party the following year, so it still counts! Caroline and Harry sparked controversy back in 2011 on the grounds of their 14 year age gap. He was 17 she was 31 and Directioners across the globe just couldn’t handle it. The unlikely couple split a few months later and remain friends, apparently. Meanwhile, Harry has been racking up girlfriends across the globe while Caroline is still tarnished with her cougar nickname, most recently having been accused of pursuing 2012 X Factor winner James Arthur.

1. Katie Price and Peter Andre

Katie Price and Peter Andre… the reality romance of all reality romances. Ever. These two got together after the third series of I’m A Celebrity came to a close in February 2004. They tied the knot in September 2005 and have two adorable children together.  They did fly-on-the-wall reality TV shows aplenty and even teamed up for an album, but we’ll gloss over that. They divorced in 2009, two days before their fourth wedding anniversary and have been at loggerheads ever since. She’s now on her third marriage and he’s dating a student. Cute.

4. Whitney’s marriage to Bobby Brown

In 1992 Whitney married R&B singer Bobby Brown which saw her clean-cut image slowly vanish. She was arrested in 2000 when a substantial amount of marijuana was found in her bag at an airport but charges were later dropped. Later in 2003 she called the police on domestic violence claims against Brown.

Whitney’s interview with Diane Sawyer in 2002 saw the phrase ‘Crack is whack’ coined. After hinting at using cocaine, pills and marijuana, she told Sawyer: ‘First of all, let’s get one thing straight. Crack is cheap. I make too much money to ever smoke crack. Let’s get that straight. Seven years after her Diane Sawyer interview, Whitney decided to do another revealing chat with Oprah Winfrey, opening up on her turbulent marriage to Brown and admitting her constant use of marijuana laced with cocaine, as well as revealing further details on her violent marriage.

1. Whitney’s death

Two days before her tragic death on February 11 2012, Houston appeared at the rehearsals for Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy Awards party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. She later headed out on a wild night out with pals which was to be the last time she was seen in public. Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton suite, declared by a coroner to have been caused by ‘accidental drowning’.
