<p>If you’re not sure how to pull off this trick successfully, keep reading to learn <strong>seven tips for perfect tightline eyeliner</strong>.</p>
<h5>1. Don’t Overdo It</h5>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-27495" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/02-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner.jpg" alt="" width="570" height="693" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/02-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/02-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-247x300.jpg 247w" sizes="(max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p><a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/495958977688107059/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">via</a></p>
<p>When you tightline your eyeliner, avoid applying eyeliner where you would normally put it. This double-lined look generally looks too overdone and messy.</p>
<h5>2. Use the Right Liner</h5>
<p><img decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-27501 aligncenter" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/7-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-2.jpg" alt="" width="564" height="733" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/7-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-2.jpg 564w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/7-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-2-231x300.jpg 231w" sizes="(max-width: 564px) 100vw, 564px" /></p>
<p><a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/77476056067317624/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">via</a></p>
<p>You should always use a kohl eyeliner when tightlining your eyeliner. Kohl eyeliner is designed specifically to apply smoothly and stay put in a moist area like the upper rim of your eye. Kohl pencil liners work best for tightlining; trying to use gel or liquid formulas in this area usually doesn’t works out well.</p>
<h5>3. Know Where to Line</h5>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-27496" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/03-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner.jpg" alt="" width="570" height="1310" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/03-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/03-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-131x300.jpg 131w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/03-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-446x1024.jpg 446w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p><a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/230879918370957755/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">via</a></p>
<p>You know by now that tightlining your eyeliner means lining the upper rim of your eye with eyeliner. However, the region you should line is more specific than that. When tightlining your eyeliner, run your pencil along the upper rim of your eye from the outer edge of your eye to your tear duct.</p>
<p>Also, gently press the pencil into the spaces between your lashes to line these areas as well in order to prevent any blank spots in your lash line.</p>
<h5>4. Try Your Bottom Lash Line</h5>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-27497" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/04-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner.jpg" alt="" width="570" height="1709" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/04-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/04-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-100x300.jpg 100w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/04-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-342x1024.jpg 342w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p><a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/484770347366507593/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">via</a></p>
<p>If you want to dramatize the effect of your tightline eyeliner, you can line your bottom lash line as well as the upper rim of your eye. Start from the outer corner of your eye and run the pencil along the lower rim of your eye.</p>
<p>Depending on your preference, you can either stop when you get to the middle of your eye or continue until you reach your tear duct.</p>
<h5>5. Keep Your Pencil Clean</h5>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-27498" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/05-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner.jpg" alt="" width="570" height="570" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/05-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/05-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/05-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-300x300.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p><a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/262968065720085497/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">via</a></p>
<p>You should always make sure that you keep your eyeliner pencil clean before you apply tightline eyeliner. The rims of your eyes are much more at risk of developing an infection than other places where you normally apply makeup, so it is especially important to use clean instruments on that area.</p>
<p>Clean your eyeliner pencil by sharpening it a little bit every time you want to use it. This step will shave off the outer layer of the pencil that might have developed bacteria and leave it clean and sharp for you to use.</p>
<h5>6. Curl Your Eyelashes</h5>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-27499" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/06-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner.jpg" alt="" width="570" height="570" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/06-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/06-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/06-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-300x300.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p><a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/AdWmoTZppdSHOIW4MkBEjfW2DhLqxrqd9yv6CBp5YrBJuXAwqI7cPeE/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">via</a></p>
<p>After you finish applying tightline eyeliner, emphasize the volumizing effect of your liner on your lashes by curling your eyelashes. Wait a minute or two after you apply the liner before you curl your lashes in order to avoid smudging your eyeliner with your lash curler.</p>
<h5>7. Remove With a Q-Tip</h5>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-27500" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/07-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner.jpg" alt="" width="570" height="570" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/07-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/07-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/07-tips-for-perfect-tightline-eyeliner-300x300.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p><a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/516999232196474572/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">via</a></p>
<p>Because tightline eyeliner is applied along the rims of your eyes, it can be much more difficult to remove than standard eyeliner. You should never leave residue of your liner on the rims of your eyes because that can increase your risk of eye infection or irritation.</p>
<p>Instead, make sure that you remove all of your tightline eyeliner by using a Q-tip soaked in a gentle eye makeup remover. Run the Q-tip along the rims of your eyes, pressing down gently, until you’ve removed all of the liner.</p>
<p>Tightlining your eyeliner isn’t always easy, and it can take some practice. However, that practice is well worth it considering the transformative results tightline eyeliner can have on the appearance of your eyes and eyelashes. Use the tips in this post to discover <strong>seven tips for perfect tightline eyeliner </strong>that can help you master the process in no time.</p>

<p><strong>How To Apply Eyeliner For Different Eye Shapes?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24703" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/02-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg" alt="02-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes" width="570" height="396" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/02-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/02-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes-300x208.jpg 300w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/02-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes-110x75.jpg 110w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Source: pinterest.com</p>
<p><strong>1. If You Have Wide Set Eyes</strong></p>
<p>Women with wide set eyes should focus on enhancing the inner corner of the eyes, which makes the eyes look close to one another. To do this, you must start with the lining of the tear duct and do not go more than the outer corner of the eyes.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24704" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/03-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg" alt="03-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes" width="570" height="231" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/03-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/03-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes-300x122.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Source: blogspot.com</p>
<p><strong>2. If You Have Deep Set Eyes</strong></p>
<p>If you are one of those with lovely deep set eyes, stop making the thick lines on the lids and do not smudge the liner on the top lash line, because the eyes would look more deep and sunken. What you need is a thin line as close to the lash line and only half of the outer eye should be lined- top and bottom.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24705" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/04-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg" alt="04-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes" width="570" height="427" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/04-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/04-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes-300x225.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p><strong>3. Women With Monolid Eyes</strong></p>
<p>Women with monolid eyes can wear eyeliner too, and even though the base is flat and sans the crease, there are eyeliners for eye shapes with monolid specifics to use. A thin line on the top lash line from the inner corner should be done all the way, thicker as you move ahead to the outer corner of the eye.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24706" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/05-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg" alt="05-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes" width="570" height="616" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/05-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/05-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes-278x300.jpg 278w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Source: pinterest.com</p>
<p><strong>4. For Hooded Lids</strong></p>
<p>Women with eyelids that droop downwards have hooded lids. The aim here is to make the eyelids look big with the help of eyeliner. Start with thickening of the lash base where the eyeliner should be used between the roots of the lash in thin strokes, and thicken as you head to the outer corner of the eyes.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24707" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/06-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg" alt="06-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes" width="570" height="316" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/06-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/06-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes-300x166.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Source: lovethispic.com</p>
<p><strong>5. For Round Eyes</strong></p>
<p>If you would like to make your round eyes look long and nice, the outer edges should be lined on the lash line which brings about a flicked winged look.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24708" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/07-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg" alt="07-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes" width="570" height="517" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/07-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/07-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes-300x272.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Source: blogspot.com</p>
<p><strong>6. Almond Eyes Lining</strong></p>
<p>Almond eyes are the most desirable eyes to doll up, and most makeup artists would love working on such eyes. Winged eyeliners compliment the wonderful curves of such eyes and with a flick on the outer corner, a dramatic divaish look comes through.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24709" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/08-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg" alt="08-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes" width="570" height="581" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/08-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/08-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes-294x300.jpg 294w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Source: herinterest.com</p>
<p><strong>7. For Small Eyes</strong></p>
<p>The aim is to make the eyes look big, which is why the bottom tear line shouldn’t be touched with eyeliner. What you should do is swipe thin strokes on the top lash line and the outer corner of the bottom lash line only.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24710" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/09-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg" alt="09-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes" width="570" height="570" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/09-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/09-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/09-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes-300x300.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Source: vanitynoapologies.com</p>
<p><strong>8. If You Have Big Eyes</strong></p>
<p>Everyone wants their eyes to look big and nice, which is why different types of eyeliner should be used for the grand effect to come through. With large eyes, you must line the top and bottom lash or water lines which wouldn’t make the eyes look too small. Cat eyes and winged eyes work best here.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24711" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/10-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg" alt="10-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes" width="570" height="570" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/10-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/10-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/10-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes-300x300.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Source: pinterest.com</p>
<p><strong>9. Close Set Eyes</strong></p>
<p>We spoke about wide set eyes and how to line them, now let us look at close set eyes too. The outer corners of the eyes should be focused upon with a soft eye pencil, and the liner should be applied very thin at the inner corner of the eyes. The outer corner of the eyes should be lined thick and nice. If you tight line the inner corner of the eyes, it would make the eyes look smaller, so quit doing that.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24712 aligncenter" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/11-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg" alt="11-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes" width="570" height="846" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/11-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/11-eyeliner-for-different-eye-shapes-202x300.jpg 202w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>

<p>However, colored eyeliner is a tool that requires caution. While it can turn out looking bright and beautiful, it can also end up looking like you’re trying to turn back the clock to middle school–not in a good way. Fortunately, there’s no need to fret; read on to discover the easy tips on how to rock colorful eyeliner the right way.</p>
<p>1. Use a Liquid eyeLiner</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24683" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/02-Rock-Colored.jpg" alt="02-Rock-Colored" width="570" height="250" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/02-Rock-Colored.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/02-Rock-Colored-300x132.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p>There are many different colored eyeliner formulas available on the makeup market. If you really want to ensure that you pull off the liner beautifully every time, it’s best to invest in a liquid liner formula.</p>
<p>Many people opt for a pencil liner because they are generally easier to control. However, pencil eyeliners can often end up looking choppy, uneven, and disconnected, especially when it comes to lighter or brighter colored eyeliners. Liquid liners provide a line that appears much smoother, no matter what color you use.</p>
<p>If you’re worried about successfully controlling a liquid eyeliner, opt for a felt pen liner instead. These eyeliners have a similar smooth formula to liquid liners, but they come with a felt pen applicator that is easy to swipe onto your eyelids with maximum control and steadiness.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.amazon.com/stila-Waterproof-Liquid-Liner-Intense/dp/B0031NNE56/?tag=prettydesign-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner</a> is an excellent felt pen liquid eyeliner with a marker-like tip that offers a wide array of bright, fun colors in blue, green, and orange. If you’re looking for different colors that the Stila liner is not available in, <a href="https://www.amazon.com/KAT-VON-Lightning-Liner-0-04/dp/B00MF2J1G0/?tag=prettydesign-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Kat Von D Lightning Liner</a> is a high-quality liquid liner that offers several shades of purple and gold. The Lightning Liner does not have a full felt pen tip, but its brush tip is thin enough to allow users to maintain maximum control and steadiness during application.</p>
<p>2. Tone Down The Rest of Your Look</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24684" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/03-Rock-Colored.jpg" alt="03-Rock-Colored" width="570" height="349" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/03-Rock-Colored.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/03-Rock-Colored-300x184.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p>When you wear colored eyeliner, it should be the focal point of your look and should not have to try to share center stage of your face with dark red lipstick or shimmery strobing. If you choose to apply colored eyeliner, keep the rest of your look simple. Opt for neutral outfit colors that complement your liner, choose a toned-down hairstyle, and apply natural shades of cheek and lip makeup that only accentuate your natural coloring.</p>
<p>Keeping the rest of your look simple when wearing colored eyeliner is the easiest way to prevent your liner from looking childish and ensure that it appears bright and sophisticated instead.</p>
<p>3. Combine the Color</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24685" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/04-Rock-Colored.jpg" alt="04-Rock-Colored" width="570" height="570" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/04-Rock-Colored.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/04-Rock-Colored-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/04-Rock-Colored-300x300.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p>A great way to pull off colored eyeliner is to tone it down by combining it with a darker and more natural liner. To get this look, line your eyes as you normally would with a natural-colored eyeliner in brown, gray, or black. Make sure you use a pencil liner for this step in order to prevent two liquid formulas from muddling together once you apply the colored eyeliner. Next, swipe the colored liquid eyeliner of your choice on top of the black, gray, or brown liner. Blend the colors together using a sharp angled brush to create a smudged mix of colored and darker liner. You’ll end up with a beautiful blended look that provides the brightness and whimsy of colored eyeliner with a sophisticated twist of more natural dark liner that ensures a mature look.</p>
<p>If you usually use a liquid formula for your black or brown liner instead, it’s time to invest in a pencil liner in order to successfully pull off this combination look. The <a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ANAG870/?tag=prettydesign-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil</a> is an excellent pencil eyeliner that is available in multiple shades of brown, gray, and black. This Urban Decay liner slides on and blends easily, which makes it the perfect choice for this smudged combination look.</p>
<p>4. Go For Dark</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24686" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/05-Rock-Colored.jpg" alt="05-Rock-Colored" width="570" height="725" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/05-Rock-Colored.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/05-Rock-Colored-236x300.jpg 236w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p>If you want to try out <strong>colored eyeliner</strong> but don’t feel quite ready to swipe on a bright pink or a turquoise liner, meet in the middle and experiment with darker colored eyeliners. Darker colored eyeliners are liners that look almost black but still have a hint of color mixed in. These liners are great if you’re hoping to achieve a subtle pop of color to mix up your routine without creating an overly obvious or severe look.</p>
<p>The right darker colored eyeliners can be difficult to find within the abyss of bright colored liners. However, they are available. <a href="https://www.amazon.com/NARS-Eyeliner-Stylo-Carpates/dp/B008M5HYC2/?tag=prettydesign-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">NARS Eyeliner Stylo</a> is a great felt pen liner that is available in Atlantic, a beautiful shimmery dark blue. <a href="https://www.amazon.com/blinc-BLEF1000-Liquid-Eyeliner-Black/dp/B002ONCHJI/?tag=prettydesign-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Blinc Liquid Eyeliner</a> is a true liquid liner that comes in Dark Purple, a deep plum hue with a hint of silver sparkle.</p>
<p>5. Pick a Complementary Color</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24687" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/06-Rock-Colored.jpg" alt="06-Rock-Colored" width="570" height="855" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/06-Rock-Colored.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/06-Rock-Colored-200x300.jpg 200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p>Any time you’re dealing with colorful eye makeup, it is important to choose your colors carefully. The same rule remains true for colored eyeliner. When you’re trying to choose the perfect shade to debut your colored eyeliner look, don’t just pick the color you think looks brightest or prettiest. While this may seem counterintuitive, the fact of the matter is that your favorite color might not be the color that looks best with your natural eye color.</p>
<p>It’s important to pick colored eyeliner hues that complement your eyes, not ones that match them or clash with them. For example, if you have blue eyes, don’t select a turquoise liner. Instead, opt for plum, gold, or orange liner to bring out the blue in your eyes rather than wash it out and create a faded look. Blue, purple, and pinky eyeliners are especially flattering for those with green eyes. If you have hazel or brown eyes, green and gold liners help frame your eyes and bring out the natural warmth in them.</p>
<p>6. Stay Close to Your Lashes</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24688" src="http://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/07-Rock-Colored.jpg" alt="07-Rock-Colored" width="570" height="374" srcset="https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/07-Rock-Colored.jpg 570w, https://www.12thblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/07-Rock-Colored-300x197.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></p>
<p>Nothing looks worse than a colored eyeliner application that has a tell-tale gap between the lash line and the liner. While you can sometimes get away with a bit of space between your lash line and your eyeliner when you’re wearing a more natural color that matches your lashes, like black or brown, the same reality is not true when you wear colored eyeliner. Because colored eyeliner creates such an extreme contrast against the natural color of your eyelashes, any gap of skin that is visible between your lash line and your colored eyeliner is extremely obvious and creates a messy, immature look.</p>
<p>To ensure that you get your eyeliner as close as possible to your lash line without actually smudging it onto your eyelashes and creating a mess, start from the inner corner of your eye. Work slowly and steadily and press at a downward angle until you reach the outer corner of your lash line. Check if there is any visible skin by closing your eye and raising your eyebrow. This movement will reveal any gap of skin that you might have missed and allow you to fill it in completely.</p>
<p>Also, make sure to wait to curl your eyelashes until you have finished applying your eyeliner. If you curl them first, it can be more difficult to get your liner close enough to your lash line. Plus, curling your eyelashes after applying your eyeliner can help hide any small gaps between your liner and your lash line that you might not have filled in completely.</p>
<p>Applying<strong> colored eyeliner</strong> should be fun, not frightening. By taking advantage of the tips described above in this post, you can pick the right liner and ensure that you know how to apply it correctly to achieve a bright and beautiful look that makes you feel confident every time you wear it. Check out <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=as_li_ss_tl?fst=as%3Aoff&amp;rh=n%3A11058521%2Ck%3Acolored+eyeliner&amp;keywords=colored+eyeliner&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1467906732&amp;rnid=2941120011&amp;linkCode=ll2&amp;tag=prettydesign-20&amp;linkId=3c51297ecabbc0b539d6c4b358b1c085" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">the best eyeliners on amazon.com</a>!</p>
