Jay Z and Beyonce are basically the definition of a power couple. They’re both extremely famous and also seem to be extremely in love. They met a long time ago, back in 2000 and it’s unclear when they started dating. Some say there was a spark from the moment they met, some say it started later on. We’ll never know for sure, as they’ve managed to keep their personal life quite private for a very long time. It’s admirable and almost unbelievable how they managed to do that, when you take into consideration that they’re both extremely successful and famous and are always followed by paparazzi. Recently there have been rumors that there’s trouble in paradise and they might get divorced, but that’s just rumors. If you look at Beyonce’s instagram you’ll see that they’re very happy together. Either way, we applaud their relationship and wish them all the best. Beyonce and Jay Z are one of the most inspirational celebrity couples.

Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak

Jim Parsons, a successful actor we know best as Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory, and Todd Spiewak, an art director, have been together for over a decade. Neither of them have ever been overly public about their relationship, but it was never a secret either. In fact, the couple doesn’t feel like it’s something they should talk about or publicise, which is understandable. It was a great surprise for them when they received and Inspiration Award from the LGBT youth support network back in 2013. Both Jim and Todd agree that it was a very humbling experience, as they’ve never been particularly vocal about their relationship and don’t consider themselves to be activists. It’s just “boring love”, Jim joked. But isn’t that the greatest act of activism? Just living your life the way you want to live it, no matter what. There have been rumors that Jim and Todd were engaged, but those turned out to be speculations, when Jim posted a picture on Instagram of himself and his partner and captioned it “Me and Todd in 2003. Still very happy today… And NOT engaged! #justFYI “. Engaged or not, they’re a wonderful couple and we hope they stay together for a very long time.

Kate and William’s relationship is like a modern day fairy tale. They met when they were students at St. Andrew’s University and that’s where their fairytale starts. Secret at first, it became public in 2004, after they went to a ski resort together and the media got a whiff of a budding relationship. Kate, born in Berkshire, daughter to Carole and Michael, a couple of flight attendants. William, a prince, heir to the throne of Britain. How did this girl manage to capture the heart of the royal? We’ll never know for sure. But there’s definitely something special about Kate. They’ve dated for a long time before becoming engaged. During that time they’ve shared a house with 2 of their friends (can you imagine? A prince, having roommates.) They’ve had their troubles too, in 2007 they briefly split up, but then got back together. The whole world was fascinated with their relationship. They finally got engaged on the 16th of November 2010 and married on the 29the of April 2011. Their wedding was magical and has been compared to a wedding  from the Cinderella fairy tale. They have a son, George, and are awaiting the arrival of their second child, the sex of which is a mystery as of yet and is a topic of great interest for everyone.

Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka

These two are perfect role models for the LGBT community. Not only are the two gorgeous, talented people, but their love story is so sweet it’s difficult not to like them. In one of his interviews Neil Patrick Harris admitted he was the first one to say “I love you”. He said that it was a bit awkward not hearing it back immediately but he appreciated his partner’s honesty. However, David was the first to propose and he did it in a very sweet romantic way. The couple was on the way to an event, but David insisted they had to make a stop, it seemed really random at the time, but it was actually very special. He proposed to Neil on the same street corner that they met. He stood on one knee, got the ring out and asked Neil “Will you marry me”. Neil was stunned and of course he said yes. And about a year after that Neil decided to propose to David on Valentine’s Day. The couple got married in 2014 in Italy, after 10 years of being together. It’s almost funny how many similarities they share. Not only do they have similar interest, they also have the same shoe size, height, weight and basically the same body size. They often joke that they share a wardrobe. They also have 2 beautiful kids, a boy and a girl: Gideon Scott and Harper Grace. The kids call their parents Daddy (David) and Papa (Neil). This family is one of the most inspirational families in Hollywood, and they’re very adorable too. Salvador Dali and Gala

Salvador Dali – the famous Spanish surrealist and Gala – his Russian born wife were a subject of a lot of discussions in their days.  Apparently Gala captured his heart so much he called her his primary muse. He painted her throughout his life and supposedly lost his will to live after she passed away. Despite their great romance Dali’s family weren’t happy about their relationship and threatened to disown Salvador because of this. Gala was 36 when she met Dali, who was 25 at the time. She was married to a famous poet Paul Eluard at the time, but left him for Dali. At the start of their relationship she realized how talented Salvador was and spent all her time and effort to promote him. She’s said to have visited all the possible art galleries to show them Dali’s paintings and in the end she succeeded in making him a world renowned famous artist. Many believe that she was a witch, as she wasn’t exceptionally beautiful, but managed to capture everyone’s attention thanks to her charm. Their relationship lasted for 50 years before she passed away at the age of 88.

Ellen and Portia DeGeneres

Ellen and Portia are a beautiful and wonderful couple. The Australian actress/model and the American comedian are a great match. They seem to compliment each other in every way and have a lot in common .They’re both very involved in the LGBTQ movement. Both Ellen and Portia love animals. Together they have three dogs and four cats. Both Ellen and Portia are vegan. They also have a passion for renovating houses, so they buy one, renovate it, live in it for a bit and then sell it and move on. There have been a lot of rumors about all kinds of infidelity but they all turned out to be false. Ellen is always happy to shed light onto the rumors and use them to make jokes on her show. The couple is very public about their problems when they have one, and if there was any serious trouble we’d hear it from them first.

Evita and Juan Peron

Juan and Evita Peron were one of the most adored couples in the 40’s. They were probably the ultimate power couple. Eva Peron was born in a village in Argentina and was the youngest of 5 children in her family. At the young age of 15 she decided to move to Buenos Aires to become an actress. After 10 years of living in Buenos Aires and working on her career, she met Juan and managed to charm him so much that they got married just a year after that. They managed to change the political atmosphere of Argentina at the time and became the most beloved political couple in the country. Evita was an incredible woman, who did a lot for Argentina. She fought for women’s rights, and eventually, thanks to her, women of Argentina got the right to vote. She was loved by working classes and devoted a lot of her time to charity. The couple was so beloved and famous that there’s multiple number of movies about them and even a world renowned musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The musical is called Evita and it tells the story of her life, her struggle, her love, her rise to power. This musical toured the world depicting the story of Evita and Juan Peron through multiple casts and languages. In 1996 this musical was made into a film starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas.

Victoria and David Beckham

The famous footballer and Posh Spice have been married for 16 years and couldn’t be happier about it. On their 15th wedding anniversary Victoria posted a picture on her instagram with a caption “15 beautiful years. We feel so blessed and thank you all for your love and support over the years. Such a special day for us all.” That really sums up their relationship. They’ve always been there for each other, and they’re clearly very much in love even after all this time. They’ve got 4 kids, for god’s sake, if that’s not a sign of love, I don’t know what is. They express their love for each other in everything they do. We all chuckle when we see them wearing matching outfits, and sporting matching watches or very similar styles. The know it’s a bit tacky, but it makes them laugh. Isn’t that the secret to a really good relationship – just having a laugh together?

John Lennon and Yoko Ono

There’s two versions of how their relationship began. One is that they met at an art gallery exhibition held by Yoko, another is that Yoko was gathering materials for a book and asked Paul McCartney for info but he refused and said that Lennon might help her out. They started corresponding and calling each other while Lennon was still married. Once Lennon’s wife left for a holiday and Lennon invited Yoko Ono for a visit. They recorded the “Two Virgins” album at night and made love at dawn. Apparently when his wife came back and found Yoko in her house, all John could say was “Oh, hi.” Since then they’ve been inseparable. They often took part in protests and organized them. They’ve arranged the famous Bed-ins for Peace. Eventually, the Beatles broke up, and everyone blamed Yoko for this. The pair moved to America and lived there together for a while. Their relationship had their hardships, there was a point when they split up and Yoko refused to see Lennon, but eventually they reconnected. Their whole relationship is full of mystery and some magic, and no one will ever be able to truly understand it, even though it was a very public relationship.

Stephen Hawking and Jane Wilde

There have been multiple documentaries and movies exploring this extraordinary relationship. They actually met at a New Year’s party, just like it is in the movie “The theory of everything” but their relationship didn’t start right away.  Stephen was a very eccentric young man and that’s what drew Jane’s attention to him. She found out about his disease during the course of their relationship and still married him. The fact that the doctor said he only had two or three years to live didn’t bother her. Their motto was to make the most out of what they have. As Stephen’s disease progressed Jane had to take care of him. She did her best, even though it was clear that Stephen’s family didn’t like her. So much so, that they actually blatantly asked her who was the father of her third child. When she said that it could only be Stephen’s, his step-mother said that they never liked her and she never fit into their family. Nonetheless, Jane and Stephen were married for 30 years and had 3 beautiful children together. When asked what made him want to continue living after he was diagnosed, Stephen said that Jane was one of the main reasons, she was his muse, his friend, his love. Falling in love gave him something to live for.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had a very rocky start of their relationship. They met while filming “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”, while Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston. A lot of people were against this romance, and still quite a few people are mad about it now. There will always be people on Jennifer’s side. But what can you do? Nothing can stand in the way of love. By 2005 Brad and Jennifer split up, and everyone suspected that Brad and Angelina were dating. They tried to keep their relationship a secret, and didn’t go public for a while. However, the truth came out eventually when we saw pictures of Brad and Angelina together with her son Maddox. Later on Brad also accompanied her to Ethiopia when she was adopting her daughter. Pretty soon afterwards they’ve announced that Angelina was pregnant and Brad was the father. All in all Brad and Angelina formed such an amazing family that it’s weird to think of them separately now. Everyone just calls them Brangelina. It took them 10 years of being together to finally get married. But they did it and we’re very happy for them.
