Janet Montgomery is a British actress, both film and TV. In 2010, she rose to fame in the action series Human Target as Ames. Her sexy and alluring face landed on the buses and billboards all over New York.


Janet Montgomery was born in 1985 in Dorset, UK. As a young girl, Montgomery loved performing. She underwent dance training at Mann College of Performing Arts. Soon after, she made a decision that made an impact on her future career. Montgomery gave up her dreams to become a professional dancer to pursue acting.

At first, it wasn’t easy for the aspiring actress to land a role, given her lack of drama training.  However, she soon got her big break after she and her friend Gethin Anthony produced a play.

Montgomery eventually landed on her first big-screen role in the short comedy film Flushed as Queen Bitch. Later on, she became a cast regular on horror and thriller genres. She appeared on four consecutive horror films, including Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead, The Hills Run Red, and Dead Cert.

In 2010, Montgomery appeared in the Academy Award-nominated film, Black Swan. She appeared as Madeline alongside Natalie Portman. In the following year, she starred in the 2011 comedy film Our Idiot Brother with Avengers star Paul Rudd.

Since then, Montgomery has appeared in several drama films, including The Space Between Us, Romans, and In a Relationship. Her most recent film work is the 2020 family movie, Think Like a Dog.

Aside from film, Montgomery has an active TV career as well. She landed on her TV debut in Dis/Connected. Since then, she has been sending out audition tapes to producers. Her determination earned a recurring role in the hit comedy series, Entourage. She also got a minor role in the sitcom The League as a hot stripper named Ambrosia.

Montgomery led a successful TV career since 2010. She got her first lead role in the action series Human Target. Soon after, she landed on more starring roles, including the legal drama series Made in Jersey and Spies of Warsaw.


In 2014, Montgomery returned to the horror genre in the supernatural TV series Salem. She starred as the leading character, a powerful witch named Mary Sibley. Her performance earned two consecutive nominations as Favorite Actress in the Fangoria Chainsaw Awards.
