Born on 24 January 1977 as Hayley Soraya Tamaddon, she is a British actress of Iranian origins. She is famous for her work as Del Dingle in Emmerdale, Andrea Beckett in Coronation Street and also as Calista in Shameless.
Tamaddon’s father was an Iranian man and her mother was English. She attended the Montgomery High School in Blackpool. She was trained in dance at Phil Winston’s Theatreworks and Laine Theatre Arts.
Tamaddon has worked in various theatre roles such as Frenchie in Grease and Diana Morales in A Chorus Line. She has been seen in Boogie Nights opposite actor/comedian Kev Orkian, Mamma Mia and Fame and is also known for playing the role of Janet in the 2007 UK tour of The Rocky Horror Show. Tamaddon has shared the honors of the role of Lady of the Lake with Jodie Prenger and Amy Nuttall in a United Kingdom tour of Spamalor.
Tamaddon was the winner of the fifth series of Dancing on Ice on 28 March 2010, along with skating partner Daniel Whiston. She teamed up again with Whiston for the series nine in 2014. It was a special series featuring a lot of the past winners and favourites from the show in competition. The pair of Tamaddon and Whiston made it to the final.
She has worked on 96.3 Radio Aire in Leeds, England. Her debut performance was on the breakfast show in October 2009. She went on to appear in November 2009 with Griffo.
Tamaddon first faced movie cameras for a short film in June 2008 to promote road safety among young people in Cheshire. The film was produced in tandem with the Cheshire Constabulary and the Cheshire Safer Roads Partnership.
In May 2017, she was announced as a member of the cast of a comedy feature Eaten by Lions alongside Antonio Aakeel and Jack Carroll, directed by Jason Wingard.
Tamaddon was previously engaged to Darren Charles, a dancer and choreographer from Grimsby, but, she called off their wedding after he confessed having cheating on her during her filming of Dancing On Ice. She later ruled out any possible reunion with him.
In June 2014, Tamaddon had to be admitted to hospital after she was fatigued due to the pressure of working on Coronation Street and Dancing on Ice Tour which became overwhelming for her.
