Born as Brooke Dyan Candy on July 20, 1989, she is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, director, muse, and fashion stylist. She was born in Oxnard, California, but, raised in the Agoura Hills suburbs of Los Angeles. Brooke has Italian and Jewish origins. Her parents divorced when Brooke was only eight. While her mother worked as a pediatric nurse, her father was the CFO of Hustler magazine. Candy has referred to the huge difference between their lives: “The Hustler offices were so gaudy and amazing. I’d eat ice-cream and watch TV and just go from that to being with my mom, who had nothing. It was strange… it’s this whole idea of duality that I am just obsessed with.”

During 2017 and 2018, Candy did a tour alongside Charli XCX and Lizzo, alongside headlining her own “Tie Me Up Tour” in Asia. Her debut full-length album Sexorcism is set to release in 2019.
