Jessica Lauren Graff was born in 1984 in New York City. At a young age, Graff developed an intense passion for gymnastics. She also took circus classes at age six and underwent gymnastics training at nine years old.
For six years, Graff did competitive gymnastics and joined a gymnastics club. By 12 years old, she is already a trapeze artist.
In an interview with Athleisure, Graff shared that she wanted to become a superhero. She adored fictional characters like Xena Warrior Princess and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
In 2002, she graduated from high school as an honor student, track team leader, and an honor society member.
Graff majored in aerospace engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. Realizing that she wanted to become an actress, she transferred to the University of Nebraska to study theatre. At that time, she is also a black belt holder in Kung Fu and Taekwondo.
Her journey towards being a stunt woman started when she did her research about stunt performers. After moving to Los Angeles, she made a demo reel and signed up at gyms to meet professional stunt performers.
From there, Graff learned everything about the stunt community. She underwent rigorous training, such as weapon fighting, sky diving, and parkour, to name a few.
In 2007, Graff began her career as a professional stunt woman. She appeared in several TV shows and films, including X-Men, Bridesmaids, Sons of Anarchy, and Wonder Woman 1984.
Graff is a regular contestant in various sports entertainment TV shows such as Wipeout, American Ninja Warrior, Sasuke, and The Titan Games. Since 2013, Graff has been breaking records as the first woman to advance to a City Final and the National Finals.
