Indiana Evans rose to fame as Matilda Hunter in the soap opera series Home and Away. She is an Australian actress who is popularly known for her supporting roles in film and TV. In 2012, she got nominated as the sexiest female in the Inside Soap Awards.

Indiana Evans was born in 1990 in Sydney, Australia. At age five, Evans took an interest in performing by singing and dancing with her family and friends. By seven years old, her parents signed her up for dance lessons, where she learned ballet, jazz, and tap.

Aside from her dance classes, Evans enrolled at a performing arts high school. However, she left school after two weeks to give way for her acting career. To make up for it, she signed up at a correspondence course until the age of 15.

Evans made her acting debut in the medical drama series All Saints. Soon after, she starred as the lead role for a Kool-Aid ad campaign in the U.S. She also became a series regular in the children’s show Snobs and bagged a guest role in The Strip and Cops L.A.C.

In 2004, Evans joined the long-running drama show Hope and Away. She was one of the regular casts, named Matilda Hunter, a wealthy teenage girl who moved in a summer caravan park. Her performance earned the Queen of Teen Award at Dolly Teen Choice and four other nominations from Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, and Logie Awards.

Soon after, Evan declined a contract extension in the drama series. She made her final appearance in the show in July 2008.

The year 2009 became a prosperous year for Evans as she starred in a TV crime movie A Model Daughter: The Killing of Caroline Byrne. She later joined the hit fantasy show H2O: Just Add Water, where she replaced the lead role of Claire Holt. She appeared in season three, where she played as Isabella Hartley, a young girl who wanted to become a singer and a mermaid.


Evans recorded a few additional soundtracks of the show, including “No Ordinary Girl.” In March 2011, she released a solo album under the series title, H20: Just Add Water.
