Born as Bianca Blair on April 9, 1989, she is an American professional wrestler. She is presently signed to WWE and performs in their developmental territory NXT under the ring name Bianca Belair. Blair used to be a track and field athlete, and used to compete in the hurdles. The ESPN writer Sean Hurd called her athletics time as “a volatile six-year track career” and she attended three universities. She first studied at the University of South Carolina and then Texas A&M University. She didn’t compete for almost a year, before she completed her college career at the University of Tennessee. She became All-SEC and All-American as well as was named in the SEC’s academic honor roll in the years 2011 and 2012.
She was also a CrossFit competitor and powerlifter. She was featured in RX magazine, Femme Rouge magazine and CrossFit.com. Blair had to leave her CrossFit career due to intercostals chondritis, which is also known as shifting rib syndrome.
Blair entered into a contract with WWE on April 12, 2016 and was assigned to the WWE Performance Center. Blair first appeared in an in-ring segment at an NXT live event on June 25 and she debuted in the ring in September of that year by beating Aliyah. Soon after her performance in the Mae Young Classic, beginning from January 24, 2018 episode of NXT, Belair started an unbeatable streak by prevailing over various rivals such as Lacey Evans, Candice LeRae, Aliyah, Dakota Kai, and Deonna Purrazzo. On April 8, Belair debuted in WrestleMania when she participated in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34 alongside various other women from the NXT portfolio, but, she got eliminated by Becky Lynch.
On June 9, 2017, announcement was made by Blair’s engagement to fellow professional wrestler Kenneth Crawford, who participates in NXT as Montez Ford. They got married on June 23, 2018.
