The Irish actress, Katie McGrath is mainly famous for her role as Lucy Westenra in the British-American series, Dracula and Zara Young in the science-fiction adventure film, Jurassic World.
She was born on 3rd January 1983 in Dublin, Ireland. Her parents are Mary McGrath and Paul McGrath. She earned a degree in history with a focus on Russian history from Trinity College.
Initially, she wanted to be a fashion journalist and got a job at Image magazine. Later, she worked as a wardrobe assistant on the set of The Tudor. While working on The Tudor, she was advised to try in acting and made her debut in 2007 with the Irish television film, Damage. She also acted in The Tudors in the role of Bess in 2008. She appeared as Vixen in the mini-series, The Roaring Twenties that year. She came to prominence after playing the role of Morgana Pendragon in the series, Merlin from 2008-2012.
