Born on 6 July, 1987 as Kate Marie Nash in Harrow, London, she is an English singer-songwriter, and actress who became famous in the United Kingdom with the sleeper hit “Foundations” (2007). Her father Steve is an Englishman, whereas her mother Marie is an Irish nurse working in a medical facility. Nash had to undergo cardiac radiofrequency ablation in the year 2005 to eliminate tachycardia. Her surgery led to the song “Death Proof” which was a part of her third studio album ‘Girl Talk.’

Her most notable appearances were in the film Greetings from Tim Buckley (2012) and Powder Room as well as Syrup (both in 2013). Since the year 2017, Nash has been starring in the Netflix series GLOW as Rhonda “Britannica” Richardson.
