Born as Julie Patrice Henderson on March 5, 1986, she is an American model famous for appearing in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She has done advertisements for famous brands like Benetton and Gant.
Henderson was 13-years-old when she was discovered at the Barbizon Modeling and Acting School of Texas. Upon being discovered, she did local ads and commercials. By the time she turned 16, she had been signed to New York Model Management. After she graduated from Katy High School, she went to France to work with Ford Models and then relocated to New York City and started featuring in the pages of magazines like Elle Girl and Teen Vogue.
During her time in New York, Henderson did modelling for the TV show, Behind the Velvet Rope. In the year 2002, she was named as “overall professional female model of the year” at the Modeling Association of America International Convention. Henderson started getting international assignments from various parts of the world and started doing print works for magazines like Harper’s Bazaar.
In the year 2007, she debuted in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and made a comeback in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
At the start of 2009, Henderson was dating hip hop icon Russell Simmons who had escorted her to the Oscars.
She has featured in advertisements for Pantene, Hardees and Benetton, and in 2011 played a cowgirl in a commercial for Jack In The Box.
She has a contract in the agencies Models 1, Modelwerk, New York Model Management, and Ford Models Europe – Paris.
