From a blogger to a hot television and film actress, Jamie Chung became a success in every field that she enters. Since her first on-screen appearance in 2004, the actress rapidly gained recognition and worked in both the TV and the film scenes since.


Jamie Chung and her older sister spent most of their childhood years in San Francisco. Although she is American by nationality, she is of Korean heritage as both her parents are Korean and only relocated to the US in the 1980s.

Shortly after their move in the country, Jamie Chung’s parents started their hamburger restaurant, which funded the sisters’ schooling. Jamie Chung graduated high school in 2001, then joined the University of California. The actress was in a total of 28 episodes for the series, which was an excellent jumpstart for her acting career.

In 2006, Jamie Chung started to receive minor roles in other projects. She appeared in a single episodic role in Veronica Mars, where she played as a flirty girl.

The following year, Jamie Chung also joined the long-standing cast of the TV drama series Days of Our Lives. She played the character of Cordy Han in a total of ten episodes in the series.

Also, in 2007, the actress landed a recurring role in the TV series Greek. She played the part of the Tri-Pi sister in all three episodes until early in 2008. That same year, she also appeared in CSI, and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.

After her multiple guest appearances in several TV shows, Jamie Chung transitioned into working on the big screen. In 2009, she landed a part in the feature film Sorority Row, where she portrayed the character of Claire.


That same year, Jamie Chung played the role of Chi-Chi in the movie Dragonball Evolution, then took the leading part in Burning Palms. Later in the year, the actress worked with Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato for the Disney film Princess Protection Program.

In 2010, Jamie Chung worked in the movie Grown Ups, followed by Sucker Punch in 2011, replacing Emma Stone after the actress dropped out from the production due to scheduling conflicts.

In 2012, Jamie Chung landed her first leading role for the movie Premium Rush, where she worked alongside Michael Shannon and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Her more recent works on TV and film include Sin City, Once Upon a Time, Big Hero 6, Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong, The Gifted, and X-Men.
