Born as Fiona Victoria Gubelmann on March 30, 1980, she is an American actress. Fiona Gubelmann was born in Santa Monica, California. She started acting and dancing in pre-school days and her mother got her enrolled in dance classes as a child. During her teenage, she attended drama camps in summer, acted in local community theater, and got involved with the drama department at her school, Torrey Pines High School, Del Mar, California. She later enrolled in University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she was a pre-medical major. She graduated from UCLA in the year 2002 and further studied acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
Gubelmann debuted as an actress on the small screen in 2003 in a UPN sitcom, The Mullets and her big screen debut was in 2004 comedy Employee of the Month. She has played guest starring roles in various TV shows and in some films over the next many years. She started working on stage and appeared in Peter Lefcourt’s play La Ronde de Lunch in Los Angeles in 2009.
After Gubelmann’s agent shared with her the script for Wilfred, she mentioned that she “absolutely fell in love with it.” although, she “didn’t quite get the whole guy in the dog suit thing.” She watched some portions of the original Australian version online and said her reaction was, “Oh my God, this is amazing!” After her audition, she was called back many more times over the next three and a half weeks. She also auditioned with Elijah Wood and Jason Gann so producers could judge her potential on-screen chemistry with her future co-stars. She had to be tested one more time before she landed the role.
In the year 2014, she and her husband Alex were featured in an episode of the show House Hunters spinoff House Hunters Renovation where they were shown purchasing and redoing their new house.
