Born on August 31, 1988, Adrienne Reese got her inspiration to be a wrestler from her grandfather. Her grandfather lets her watch WWF whenever she visits him in the summer. However, when Reese attended high school, she got bullied by her classmates for her interest in wrestling.

In 2007, her grandfather encouraged her to train for professional wrestling. So Reese got into Skandor Akbar in April 2007. Later, she continued her training at the Pro Wrestling Alliance in Texas. Reese then began to wrestle under the ring name, Trouble, by the end of 2007. She changed her ring name to Athena when she had her debut in the professional wrestling industry.

By the start of 2008, Reese started to wrestle regularly for Professional Championship Wrestling but was unsuccessful in many of her fights. In 2010, Reese failed to win the ACW American Joshi Championship against Rachel Summerlyn. But she won against Summerlyn and Lillie Mae, on a three-way fight on May 29, 2010.

In 2012, Athena defeated Su Yung in the ACW Queens Tournament’s first round. Then, she won against Christina Von Eerie in the semis and finally won the title as the ACW Queen. However, when she left the company, she vacated the title.

From 2011 to 2015, Athena joined the Women Superstars Uncensored and got defeated by Niya at The Final Chapter of the WSU. She returned and defeated Leva Bates on the WSU anniversary fight. In the 2013 WSU King and Queen of the Ring fight, Reese tag-teamed with AR Fox and won against Drew Gulak and Kimber Lee in the finals. Reese returned to the spotlight in 2014 after a severe injury by winning a fight against the Howling Huntress, Hania. Then, she defeated Niya again for the title of the WSU Spirit Championship in 2015.

Reese signed with WWE and competed in the NXT Women’s Championship in 2015. She then changed her ring name to Adrienne Reese in October 2015 and competed in a tag team match. Reese then changed her ring name to Ember Moon during her dark-match with Peyton Royce. She won against Royce on the NXT TakeOver: The End in 2016.

In 2018, Reese made it to the main roster of Raw. She had her debut in an episode of Raw when she teamed up with Nia Jax and defeated Alexa Bliss. Reese got injured after the fight but recovered quickly. On November 19, 2019, Reese appeared as an analyst at the WWE Backstage and announced that she would be resting for an indefinite period.
