Christina Chiang is an American actress born in Taiwan and has appeared in shows like 24, CSI: Miami, Nashville and The Good Doctor.
She was born in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan to a Chinese Filipino dad and a white American mom. She was raised in Taipei and when she was 17, she moved to United States to study theatre and film at the University of Kansas which also happened to be in her mother’s home state of Kansas.
Later, Christina moved to Seattle, Washington and graduated from the University of Washington. After her graduation, Christina landed her first acting assignment in Naomi’s Road at the Children’s theatre, Seattle. She then appeared in an off-Broadway play by Tina Landau.
Subsequently Chang relocated to New York City and did guest starring roles in various TV shows such as Cosby and As the World Turns. She also bagged movie roles in films like 28 Days and Random Hearts.
Chang is renowned for her television performances. She played a regular role on ABC show Dragnet (2003-2004), and recurring roles on 24 as Dr. Sunny Macer, and on CSI: Miami where she played State Attorney Rebecca Nevins. In the year 2010, Chang got cast in a regular role in ABC series No Ordinary Family, but, she left after two episodes. She also played roles in Once and Again, Boston Legal, Close to Home, Brothers & Sisters, Private Practice, Suits and Desperate Housewives.
In the year 2013, she was cast in another recurring role as Megan Vannoy in the Season Two of the ABC drama series Nashville. Her character was the lady love of Charles Esten’s character. In the following year, she was cast as a series regular on ABC drama pilot Sea of Fire opposite Jennifer Carpenter.
