Born on June 5, 1983, Chelsey Crisp is an American actress. Along with acting, she also writes and is a known comedian. She spent her childhood in Phoenix, Arizona. She completed her high school in Agua Fria High School. While she was in school, she started taking interest in acting. She would perform in the community theatre. From the year 2001 to 2003, she went to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She finished her graduation there and then moved on to study Shakespeare at the British American Dramatic Academy’s Midsummer in Oxford program.
In the year 2004, Chelsey Crisp made her television debut with a show called Scare Tactics. The very next year she scored her first lead role in a film called Dr Chopper (2005). After that, she was seen in various films like Sludge (2007), Reconciliation (2009), Bleed (2016), The 60 Yard Line (2016), In-Lawfully Yours’ (2016). She has also been a part of various short films some of which are An American Standard (2008), Madchen (2012) and Chicken Suit (2013). She has also been an assistant directed and Co-Executive Producer for a film named Nifty Lessons for a Swell Life (2011).
Coming to her role in television, she has guest stared for shows like The Office, CSI: Miami, Journeyman, Better off Ted, Happy Endings, Rizzoli & Isles, Mike & Molly, and New Girl to name a few. She was starred in the mock reality game show, The Joe Schmo Show as one of the contestants named Chole. More importantly, Chelsey Crisp stars in ABC’s comedy series Fresh Off the Boat. The show is based on chef Eddie Huang’s book.
Along with acting, the actress is the artistic director and also a member of the comedy team Duchess Riot. The group was formed in 2011, and it is known to perform improv and sketch comedy.
