The Belgian actress who got famous for her role as Laure in the French film, L’Art de la seduction, and Marie in the film, High Tension is none other than Cecile de France. She was born on 17th July in 1975 in Andenne, Belgium. She moved to Paris at the age of 18 and studied theatre for two years. She attended the acting academy ENSATT from 1995-1998 and first studied at the Rue Blanche in Paris and then in Lyon in the Department of Comedie.
She made her acting debut in 1991 with the television series, Cas de divorce. After that, she appeared in 1999 with the television series, The Judge Is a Woman as Anna. She was cast in the television film, Nana in the role of Christine. In 2016, she worked in the television series, The Young Pope as Sofia. Her other television series are The New Pope, Hard, Call My Agent, Petits mythes urbains, etc.
She also worked in several theatre productions including Dormez je le veux, Electre, Mademoiselle, Pour nous, Le songe d’une nuit d’ete, and the others. She made her big-screen debut with the French film, Regarde-moi in 2000. She came to prominence for appearing as Laure in the film, L’Art de la seduction in 2001. Her breakthrough came when she was cast in the horror film, High Tension in the role of Marie and she got fame internationally for the film.
