Born on September 2, 1985, Allison Miller is an American actress born in Rome, Italy to American parents Margo and John Winn Miller. Her father was the former publisher of The Olympian newspaper in Olympia, Washington. Upon his retirement, he left Washington and moved to the eastern United States. As a child, Miller move around a lot and grew up mostly in Lexington, Kentucky before joining high school in State College and completed her schooling at Maclay School in Tallahassee, Florida. Miller had very briefly attended the Boston University before going to Rhodes College for her Freshman year. She then relocated to the University of Florida, Gainesville. She is a sister of Kappa Delta sorority and was even featured in a story in Kappa Delta’s newsletter The Angelos.
In the year 2006, Miller left college to make a full time career in Hollywood. Apart from acting, she has trained in voice, tap and jazz and also contemporary dance. She is a mezzo-soprano and plays piano as well as the guitar. She can fluently speak Spanish and French.
Miller’s career started as a member of the Young Actors Theatre in Tallahassee, Florida. She played the role of Nora in a play Brighton Beach Memoirs for the theatre. In the year 2004, she was among the eight short-listed actresses for the role of Laurie in the VH-1 reality show titled In Search of the New Partridge Family in the year 2004. She played the role on television once again in Lucy’s Piano in 2006. She also guest-starred in various episodes of TV shows like General Hospital, CSI: NY, Desperate Housewives and Boston Legal.
She is renowned for playing the role of Michelle Benjamin on the NBC series Kings, Skye Tate on Fox series Terra Nova and Carrie on the NBC series Go On. She played the starring role of Laura Larson on Syfy TV show Incorporated and is presently starring in ABC’s A Million Little Things.
Miller got married to comedian and actor Adam Nee in the year 2012. Recently it was announced that they were going to file for divorce.
