Chris Brown was very openly dating and having sex with Rihanna while he was still dating Karrueche Tran. And that was one of the high points for this couple, who are/were on-again off-again forever. The latest? Chris Brown publicly accused Tran of not visiting him in jail in favor of going on dates with Drake. The same Drake who publicly feuded with Chris Brown about also sleeping with Rihanna. Creeps. All creeps.

No one would remember Snow White And The Huntsman if it wasn’t for the very public affair between Kristen Stewart, who was still dating Robert Pattinson at the time, and the film’s then-married director, Rupert Sanders. Well, that’s one way to get people to see a movie, I guess.

Alec Baldwin may seem like a nice guy now, but listen to the message he left his daughter, Ireland Baldwin, regarding his divorce from Kim Basinger. Listen to that message and then remember that he left that message for his daughter. It’s the most uncomfortable situation ever.

In the Nick Cannon-Mariah Carey split, one of them clearly has more money and power. To help build his case, Cannon’s attorneys forced Mariah Carey to miss rehearsals for a big TV performance. The isolated audio of this performance became a trending video on the internet, all because Nick Cannon is a turd.

The video for “Cry Me A River” is so obviously about the Justin Timberlake’s breakup from Britney Spears that it’s kind of uncomfortable to watch. The only difference between the video and the real breakup is that the real breakup probably featured much less singing and dancing.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may be a Hollywood super couple these days, but don’t forget that Brad Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston when he met Jolie on the set of Mr. And Mrs. Smith. It was very scandalous, but it was also a pretty good movie.

After apparently being dumped via text message by Russell Brand, Katy Perry attempted to slightly revamp her image and talked about releasing more adult-sounding music that was clearly about the end of the relationship. When it didn’t sell as well, she went back to her old bubblegum sound. Also, Russell Brand tweeted this photo of Katy Perry just waking up, which royally pissed her off.

Everyone knows everything about every single break up Taylor Swift has ever been through. It’s basically how she’s built a career, by getting dumped and then singing about it.

After a couple has had their private sex tape become one of the most successful videos in the country, it’s hard to maintain a marriage. This break up took a dirty turn when the couple publicly revealed that Tommy Lee gave her Hepatitus.

Ah, good old Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. I guess you could say it’s a public breakup when your relationship is the subject of its own reality show. While they didn’t get divorced on the show, the divorce was clearly not a surprise for fans of the show, who saw a lot of Lachey’s eyerolling at Simpson’s antics.

Another reality series relationship that ended, this one got weird. Hulk Hogan’s ex-wife, Linda Hogan, started dating a very young man who was classmates her son, Nick Hogan. Hulk Hogan made some weird comments about it to the public, then he started dating one of his daughter’s friends. Super weird and kind of gross.

Dennis Duffy is that ultimate incarnation of that person that everyone ends up dating and they don’t know why. They just trick you into accepting them for a few months. Everytime you see them, they haven’t changed, and are convinced that you still want them. People like Duffy never learn, and they never get easier to be around.

If your ex has to go learn self defense techniques after they break up with you, then you’re acting like a psycho. Stop everything you’re doing and just move on. Seriously, once Krav Maga gets involved, the relationship is never getting fixed.

This guy was the ultimate psycho ex-boyfriend. Literally. He got dumped and then went on a killing spree. If you find yourself relating to this guy in any way, at all, drive yourself to the police station and tell them to arrest you.

This guy just couldn’t choose. Rachel ran out on their wedding, and it turns out he was cheating on her. Then he tried to get back together with her, but he was already engaged. So he tried to bring Rachel back as a side piece. Yeah, really seems like he learned his lesson.

Spoiler alert: This is a guy that really needed to learn how to move on. Building a house for a girl is cool, unless she once convinced everyone that you were crazy rather than break up with you a normal way.

If your girlfriend breaks up with you because you keep murdering people, then trying to murder her won’t fix your problems. You need to learn how to communicate, not kill.

Look, karate skills may seem really cool in high school, but when you grow up, and you’re not a ninja, then they’re just kind of lame. Also, if your ex-girlfriend starts hanging out with a new guy, having your gang beat him up isn’t cool behavior. It’s actually criminal. In real life, he won’t have to beat you in a karate tournament, he’ll just call the police.

If everytime you’re with a particular person it ends violently, then just stay away from that person. Don’t act like one of Ron Swanson’s exes, Tammy 2, who seems to enjoy the violence.

It sucks when a really cool girl breaks up with you. Schwartzman’s character in Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World handles the situation by forming a league with all of her exboyfriends and making them all fight her new boyfriend to the death. Yeah, hanging out with all of the other guys she dumped will make her see the error of her ways.

In Vanilla Sky, Cameron Diaz can’t handle the fact that Tom Cruise dumped her and moved on. She lures him into her car, and then purposefully crashes the car. You know what else would have gotten his attention? Tons of other stuff that doesn’t involve getting killed in a car accident.

We Can’t Ever Be A Couple—But Here’s Why We’ll Never Be Apart

For better or worse, we will always be drawn to each other—just not in a traditional way.

It’s been forever since we were a couple, but my ex-boyfriend and I continue to stay attached—sometimes sexually, other times emotionally. Our connection refuses to die, like the knife-wielding psycho in a horror movie—no matter how much you try to kill it, it’s still there ready to resurface and stab you in the genitals.

Whatever it is that ties us, it isn’t enough to overcome the obstacles that stand in the path of us being together. For better or worse, we will always be drawn to each other—just not in a traditional way.

I think I figured out why we’re so sexually compatible. He programmed me. Not like the way you would program a computer. I’m not saying it was all part of his evil master plan, it just happened. Maybe since he was my first real boyfriend, he unintentionally imprinted on me sexually. He knows what I like because he’s the one who unlocked those desires in the first place.

We first got together at a college party. The night ended with us making out on the host’s wrap-around porch under the stars, as a light rain fell—very romantic. I prepared to just count it as a hookup and told myself not to expect anything from our encounter. Going against all dude-dating-protocols, he called me the next day, and we were on.

Our first official date was at the movies. As we sat in the dark theater, I tried to concentrate on the film, but he started drawing circles in the palm of my hand. I don’t know why, but this action sent a jolt of joy directly to my lady parts. I was incredibly aroused. I don’t know why I found it so erotic, but nothing has ever matched it.

I was practically a virgin when we had sex for the first time, and it almost didn’t happen. I hadn’t planned ahead and wasn’t dressed for sex. I was wearing a pair of panties that I washed with the dark colors and were now a shade of not-exactly-seductive grey.

A button was missing on my jeans so I had fastened them together with a large safety pin. Not surprisingly, my boyfriend was up for the challenge and handled these wardrobe obstructions with ease.

As we started to get into it, his kid brother began banging on the door, trying to get my boyfriend’s attention—not exactly sexy-time music, but not distracting enough for us to stop what we were doing. Although I hadn’t much experience, I could tell my boyfriend was good. No, better than good—he was a sexual genius.

After that, we had sex everywhere—his house, my house, the park, the student union and even in that old stand-by, his car. I didn’t realize that he was hardwiring me to respond to his way of having sex.

Then for no reason, I started to pull back and begin parceling out sex as if it was Halloween candy that I didn’t want to get sick on. I hadn’t had enough partners to know that my boyfriend was way better than average. I thought everybody is probably that good and wondered if others might be even better.

Behind my boyfriend’s back, I started to see his friend and an eventually traded one in for the other. My ex was hurt and angry, but we stayed friends. After a few months of friendship, my ex confessed that he was in love with someone else. I didn’t react well and he didn’t react well to me not reacting well.

In an overly dramatic gesture, I returned all the letters and gifts he had given me. Our post breakup termination was ugly. We were both furious and thought that it was over. But of course, we weren’t done, not yet, not by a long shot.

Skip forward a few years. He married a woman I objected to—the woman who wasn’t me. I was living with his friend 300 miles away while my ex worked as a front desk clerk at an upscale hotel. One of his duties was to take over the switchboard so that the operator could take her lunch break. One late night he took advantage of some free long-distance and phoned me.

“I could call anywhere in the world, but I’m calling you,” he said on my voicemail. Even with all the distance and relationships between us, I clearly heard his message.

Sadly, his marriage didn’t work out. I was single, still living in L.A. I had some female surgery a couple of months before, and convinced him to come visit me, and help me check to see if my plumbing works. He was resistant because he was still angry that I dumped him for his friend.

Luckily, I didn’t have to do much to convince him that he’d be sleeping with me, not for pleasure but for medical research. He agreed but silently promised himself not to kiss me—that’ll show me. We ended up doing it a number of times and even without the kissing it was good, really good.

More years passed. We stayed in touch. Every so often I’d visit him or he visited me. No longer feeling like he had to punish me, he reinstated kissing. Yay! We had sex—mind blowing, toes curling sex. Now I understand why everyone is so fixated on it, sex. But every time, we even considered reuniting as a possibility, fate stepped in and ruined it.

One time, he was in the next town over from me on a children’s theater tour. He was there for a few days, but each time we made plans, they got cancelled and I never saw him.

Then another time, when we were actually both single and in the same city, I was positive we’d get back together at his family’s New Year’s party. I waited and waited all while holding a fancy cocktail, but he never showed up.

I finally understood that this is the true nature of our relationship. We can’t be together but we’ll never be completely apart.

I haven’t seen him in years, but I know that we’re imprinted on each other’s heart. I feel lucky that I have someone in my life who has been a witness to my journey as a person, a sexual being and a friend. He’s somebody who knows what I like and how to get me going and for that I will be eternally grateful.

1. Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom

2. Mariah Carey and Nick Canon
Mariah Carey and Eminem have been battling it out since 2001 ever since the rapper claimed he had a relationship with her. He’s dissed her in many songs including “Superman,” “Jimmy Crack Corn,” and “The Warning,” which including the line “You gonna ruin my career you better get one!” But Carey struck back in her 2009 hit “Obsessed.”

3. Christina Aguilera
