Katy Perry’s ‘Lifetimes Tour’ Faces Backlash Over Space-Themed Performance

Katy Perry’s ‘Lifetimes Tour’ 2025 has faced criticism following its debut in Mexico City. The space-themed performance, which included Perry recreating her recent Blue Origin spaceflight, was met with mixed reactions. Critics labeled the choreography as “cringe” and “low-effort,” while others questioned the feminist message of the song “Woman’s World” being performed with only male backup dancers. Despite the backlash, Perry addressed the criticism during the show, asking the audience, “Has anyone ever called your dreams crazy?”

Social media is roasting her without mercy:

“This is the worst choreography I have ever seen in my life.”

“It’s giving school talent show.”

“And people paid good money for this.”

“I just wanna know who choreographed this.”

And just to sprinkle a little extra cringe on top, during the concert Katy brought two fans on stage who were wearing NASA jumpsuits — a nod to her recent Blue Origin space flight with Jeff Bezos’s fiancée and crew. Because when the music isn’t doing it, maybe awkward space jokes will? (Spoiler alert: they didn’t.)

Better luck next time Katy!
