Born as Jessica Mendiola Tawile on December 3, 1992, she is a Filipino actress. She played the lead role in the 2013 remake of a 1992 Mexican telenovela Maria Mercedes. Mendiola was born in Dubai since her father worked there. She is the second among three siblings born to a Filipina mother and a Lebanese British father. She was only three when her mother brought her and her older sister Pamela to the Philippines. She left her father due to his infidelity. Jessy’s sister Megan was born in Mexico after her parents reconciled, but, they later parted for unknown reasons. She is in contact with her father who works overseas as a marine anthropologist. She studied Mass Communication at the Far Eastern University.

In the year 2013, Mendiola was cast as Maria Mercedes in a Philippine remake of a film of the same name. In October, she appeared as the Honorary Ambassador for Korean Tourism in Korea. In the year 2015, Mendiola played another leading role in a comedy drama Must Date the Playboy and in a romantic family drama You’re My Home.
In the year 2016, Mendiola was named as the No. 1 Sexiest Woman in the Philippines by FHM Philippines. She was placed fourth on the same list in the following year.
