Born as Vickie Lynn Hogan on November 28, 1967 (died on February 8, 2007, she was an American model, actress and TV personality renowned as Anna Nicole Smith. She was born in Houston, Texas, but, grew up in Mexia, Texas. Her parents were Donald Eugene Hogan (1947-2009) and Virgie Mae Arthur (1951-2018). Her parents had married on February 22, 1967 and divorced on November 4, 1969. Smith was raised by her mother and an aunt. Her mother married Donald R. Hart in the year 1971, leading to Smith changing her name from Vickie Hogan to Nikki Hart.
Smith studied at the Durkee Elementary School and Aldine Senior High School in Houston, Texas. During her ninth grade, she was sent to live with her mother’s younger sister, Kay Beall in Mexia, Texas. She attended Mexia High School, but, failed in her freshman year and later she dropped out of school during her sophomore year.
Smith first shot to fame in Playboy magazine after winning the title of 1993 Playmate of the Year. She did modelling gigs for fashion brands such as Guess, H&M, Heatherette and Lane Bryant.
Smith was only 14 when she dropped out of high school in the year 1982, and she married in 1985. Her second marriage was highly publicized. She married an 89-year-old billionaire named J. Howard Marshall, due to his 16% holding in Koch Industries. It led to speculation that she had married the octogenarian for money, although, she denied it. After Marshall died, Smith started a long legal battle over a share of his estate. The cases reached the Supreme Court of the United States: Marshall v Marshall regarding the federal jurisdiction and Stern v Marshall on a bankruptcy court authority.
In the last six months of her life, Smith was subject to extensive media coverage regarding the death of her son, Daniel, and the paternity as well as custody battle regarding her newly-born daughter, Dannielynn Birkhead.
Smith died in 2007, in a hotel room in Hollywood, Florida, as a result of a prescription drug overdose.
