Born as Rachael May Taylor on July 11, 1984 in Launceston, Tasmania, she is an Australian actress and model. She attended Riverside High School and had always wanted to be an actress since her childhood, and performed in a number of school plays. Her most renowned role until now was as Maggie, a signals analyst, in the 2007 film Transformers, where she appeared alongside Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf. For the American TV series in 2012-13, Taylor appeared in the new drama 666 Park Avenue. She was next seen in the 2014 NBC series Crisis, which had a single season run. In 2015, Taylor played a key role in Jessica Jones as the lead character’s adoptive sister Trish Walker. She further played the role in a voiceover cameo in Luke Cage in 2016, in The Defenders (2017) and in the second season of Jessica Jones in 2018.
She also appeared in the American-Dutch remake The Loft alongside another Australian Isabel Lucas.
