Born as Helena Christensen on 25 December 1968, she is a Danish model and photographer. She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. She was born to a Danish father and a Peruvian mother. Christensen can speak Danish, Spanish and English as well as German and French, fluently. She won the pageant of Miss Universe, Denmark when she was only 17, in the year 1986. She participated in the Miss Universe 1986 pageant. In the following year, she took part in the Look of the Year 1987 competition and made it to the finals. Christensen was in a live in romance with INXS leader Michael Hutchence in France and Denmark for five years in the early 1990s. She also had a relationship with actor Norman Reedus for five years and they also have a son named Mingus Lucien Reedus (born on 13 October, 1999). Reedus and Christensen broke up in 2003. She had also dated Interpol’s singer Paul Banks in the year 2008.
