Born as Nicole Evangeline Lilly on August 3, 1979 in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Lilly is a Canadian actress. She grew up in British Columbia and graduated from W.J. Mouat Secondary School in Abbotsford, British Columbia. She used to play soccer and was the vice-president of the student council. During college, she worked as a waitress and did “oil changes and grease jobs on big rig trucks” and also worked as a flight attendant for Royal Airlines to pay for her tuition. Her other notable performances are as Connie James in The Hurt Locker (2008), Bailey Tallet in Real Steel (2011), Tauriel in The Hobbit franchise (2012-2014), and also in the Marvel Cinematic Universe where she appeared as the superhero Hope van Dyne/Wasp in Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018). She will be seen in the same role in Avengers: Endgame (2019).
On December 20, 2006, her Kailua, Hawaii house was destroyed in a fire while she was on the set of Lost. Despite losing all her possessions, she mentioned that the fire “was almost liberating. I’m in no hurry to clutter up my life again.”
Lilly was in a marriage with Canadian Murray Hone from 2003 to 2004. She also had a relationship with her co-star from Lost, Dominic Monaghan from 2004 to 2009. In the year 2010, she started a long-term relationship with Norman Kali. Their first child, a son was born in 2011 and their second son was born in October 2015.
