Efrat Dor is a highly recognized Israeli actress known for her roles as Magdalena Gross in the historical drama film “The Zookeeper’s Wife” and Lizzie DeLaurentis in the popular Amazon series “Sneaky Pete.”
Born on January 6, 1983, in Beersheva, Israel, Efrat Dor grew up in Omer, southern Israel, alongside her three siblings. Her father worked as a doctor, while her mother pursued a career as a writer. She holds Israeli nationality and has Russian, Polish, and German heritage. Tragically, her Polish grandmother’s mother, father, and brother were all victims of the Nazis during the Third Reich.
Efrat Dor began her acting journey during her high school years and also studied ballet dancing at the Bat-Dor Beer-Sheva dance center in Beersheba. She further honed her acting skills at the Beit Zvi School for the Performing Arts in Israel before moving to New York City, where she studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
