The dress is another example of how 1990’s fashion keeps coming. So, with sales coming now, you can buy it and make wonderful combinations. If you’re wondering how to wear the dress with other clothes or accessories, just scroll along.

1. LBD

via stylebydeb.com

You’ve heard it thousand times about how the little black dress is a must. In this case, the slip dress can serve you as such. To achieve the elegant combination, it’s best if you wear it with high heels, such as the lace up on the picture. Then, it’s all about the accessories. Adding gorgeous earrings or necklace, or even a watch as pictured, will do the trick for you. Last and not least, to make the whole outfit even more classy, make sure to match it with some bold colored lipstick, such as red or fuchsia.

2. Casual

via harperandharley.com

Keeping things causal can get a touch of classy, especially when it comes to the slip dress. Instead of making combinations with high heels and jewelry, wearing your favorite sneakers and a hat. The result? You will going to fall in love with it. Feeling comfortable with what you wear and being stylish at the same time is amazing, and this is a way to achieve it.

3. Boho

via wheredidugetthat.com

Boho is the style that will never go out of fashion and there’s a reason why. It gives the laid, casual style but with a touch of something so stylish. Plus, it leaves space for so many combinations! Starting from maxi dresses to messy braids, it is absolutely a way of living. You can also conclude the slip dress in your boho wardrobe and here’s how. Get ankle boots, a velvet Indian – inspired jacket, long necklaces and your favorite pair of sunglasses. Plus, if you combine everything with a messy, boho hairstyle, your whole look will be an absolute blast!

4. Grunge

via juliete-has-a-gun.blogspot.mk

We keep seeing how the 1990’s fashion keeps coming back, but the truth is that the grunge shirts never went out of style. If you don’t have such shirt, we definitely recommend buying one, or maybe more! It’s really easy to combine the classy slip dress with the grunge style – wrap your shirt around your waist! Wear dark ankle boots and your outfit is almost done. Adding some accessory won’t hurt, so consider wearing your favorite necklace or other jewelry.

5. All Black

via stylestandpoint.com

Wearing black is one of the outfits that you can never go wrong with it. It’s the ultimate, never going fashion rule that you can rely on any time you need. This is probably the easiest outfit to copy from the rest of the list. Just wear everything black, including the slip dress. To add a pop of color, you can apply red, pink or some other bold and bright – colored lipstick.

6. 1990’s

via fashiontasty.com

These past few season we keep bringing back fashion from the 1990’s. This summer is the slip dress worn with a t- shirt. For some it’s too much, but if you like to experiment more on this 90’s theme, definitely try this out. Just wear your favorite t – shirt and the slip dress over that. Whether you are going to make it more casual and wear with sneakers, or more elegant with high heels, it totally depends on you.

7. Slip with Skinny

via stylesweekly.com

Another combination worth trying! If you love your skinny jeans, this is an amazing way to combine them with the slip dress. Adding a belt on your waist and wearing high – heels is going to make the whole outfit more charming and stylish. This is an everyday combination that you can wear on lunch, coffee or any meeting with friends, clients and so on. Maybe for a night out? You choose.

8. Minimalist

via stylishwife.com

We have already talked about slip dresses and the combinations that you can come up with, but how about only the slip dress? It looks amazing just like that! But, you can choose the color of the season to make it more stylish. For example, choosing khaki green slip dress such as the one on the picture.

9. Floral

via theoutfit.com

Instead of choosing and wearing only one – colored slip dresses, having one with some theme is going to be a nice detail in your wardrobe. Floral never goes out of style and we absolutely love it. It gives the summer-y vibes and it’s such a romantic outfit – perfect for a night out with friends or on a date. It’s going to make you look as some French girl, enjoying the streets of lovely Paris, together with her date.

10. Lace

lisaplace.se

Last on our list is a fabric detail that can make your whole outfit more classy. It’s lace we’re talking about! Blogger Lisa Olsson managed to make one really classy outfit with her black laced slip dress. She combined with a basic white t – shirt, pieces of jewelry and pair of sneakers. It’s almost everything that we’ve talked about the slip dress in one outfit! We’re totally recommending this stylish combination.

There are actually a number of ways that you can fix broken makeup yourself in order to save your products from the doom of being thrown out and when they don’t have to be.

Check out these 15 different methods and techniques for fixing broken makeup of all kinds in order to save them from being wasted!

1. Re-pot a broken lipstick

When you Google search “fix broken makeup”, you’ll find that the most common thing that pops up is powdered, since those break so easily. Sometimes, however, lipsticks snap and need to be saved too! Makeup Tutorials suggests harvesting what’s left, mixing it into a gloss, and re-potting it so it can be put on with a brush instead.

2. Fix broken powder makeup without alcohol

As you’ll notice, many of the techniques and tutorials you’ll find online for fixing broken powdered makeup involve soaking it in isopropyl rubbing alcohol and letting it dissolve out, leaving the powder once more packed down and smoothed. There are many different spins on this technique, but the basic steps that you see on Girl Versus Makeup are perhaps the most popularly used.

3. Fix broken blush in the pot

While some tutorials suggest taking the powder right out of the original pot and mixing it elsewhere, Ms Quinn Face opts to skip that step and just make the whole process happen right in the compact to save materials and time. That way you can just press things down, leave it all to dry, and be done with it!

4. Fix broken compacts with a spoon

Are you worried about over-saturating the compact, not smoothing it out properly, and ending up with a lumpy finished product that you don’t like using? Then check out how Happy Treasures changed the standard process up ever so slightly! They place the compact on an old plate to catch any mess, use the cap of the alcohol to add it in smaller quantities, and use the flat back of a spoon to smooth things out nicely and really press the powder down.

5. Fix a compact with spray-on alcohol

Perhaps your compact is actually only crumbled a little on the very surface but not at the bottom, so you don’t know that soaking all of what’s left in a lot of alcohol will really be helpful without doing more damage? Then use a spray bottle of alcohol instead! Beauty Nerd by Night shows you how to spritz the surface of the compact more lightly for things that are only damaged a little bit.

6. Fix broken highlighter with surgical spirit

Are you unable to find actual 99% proof isopropyl alochol in your local drug store? That’s certainly a possibility, as some countries have actually outlawed its sale to the general public. Instead, check out how Alice Jane Potter fixed a smashed highlighter using tweezers and surgical spirit.

7. Fix a broken lipstick with a lighter

Makeup Tutorials guides you through the process of saving a broken lipstick by using a lighter to actually reattach the broken piece to the base. If you’re very careful, this one can be done almost seamlessly, making the fixed lipstick good as new! Just be careful not to burn yourself.

8. Fix broken compacts with primer

Are you you intent on fixing your latest smashed palette as well as you can but you have very sensitive skin and don’t want to use alcohol, since it’s proven to dry things out? Then you need to see this alternative tutorial from Golden Poise! They show you how to fix it using a makeup primer that’s already sitting in your makeup kit instead!

9. Add coconut oil to make a cream eye shadow

Do you have an old eye shadow or shadow palette that’s so broken and used that it’s basically just remnants at this point, but it’s your favourite and you’re intent on using every last little piece of it? Then Crafting a Green World has just the tutorial for you! Check out how they turned what’s left of the smashed powder into a cream shadow by mixing it with coconut oil.

10. Fix broken eye shadow with a quarter

Are you trying to fix an individual eye shadow that comes in its own standard sized pot, but you want to press it down nice and evenly to decrease its likelihood of smashing again later? Then, for most brands, you can do this with a coin! Beauty by Avanti suggests using a quarter over top of some plastic wrap because they’re the perfect size.

11. Revive dried out or cracked cream eye shadow

Do you have a deep love for cream eye shadows but you’ve been holding onto your favourite shade just a little too long from trying to use it sparingly and now it’s begun to dry out, crack, or pull away from the edges of the pot? When this happens to us, we find that it gets less creamy and we like the texture less. Save your cream shadows from the same fate by re-mixing them using alcohol, just like The Beauty Department did here.

12. Fix and re-pot a compact

Is the powder you’ve broken so smashed that it’s almost dust but the pot that it comes in is very shallow and not great for mixing in without making a mess and losing most of the product? Then try de-potting all of the powder entirely, mixing it smooth in another container, and putting it back into the original compact to smooth the pot out again, just like Makeup Tips did here.

13. Fix a compact complete with a design

Do you have experience fixing your own makeup compacts but you’re always a little disappointed in the end because they no longer have the pretty logo or design on the top that they once had? Well, avoid that plain, just-fixed look in the future by adding a new simple design on the top as you re-pot the makeup instead! Emily Eva Alice shows you how to create a series of pretty little dots using textured paper towel pressed into the powder when it’s still damp with alcohol.

14. Fix a compact with a brush and a butter knife

Are you willing to try the standard alcohol technique but you’ve found that you don’t currently have any of the smoothing, mixing, or potting tools that the tutorials we’ve shown you so far suggest using? Well, just for the sake of having many options and enough alternatives to get your project done, here’s one from Makeup Tips that shows you how to do it all with a paint brush and a butter knife!

15. Fix a smashed compact with plastic wrap

Perhaps you’ve been scrolling through this list thinking the entire time about how much of a mess most of these techniques will make and trying to think of ways to minimize that when you try it yourself? Then we think you’ll quite enjoy Beauty Zone idea for basically encasing the whole original compact in plastic wrap and packing and smoothing the makeup down over that to keep stray powder and makeup chunks contained!

French Braid Bun: If you can do a basic French braid, you can achieve this easy braided updo. Just curl your braid into a chignon on one side of your head, and pin in place. Christina of Hair Romance provided some helpful instructions if you’re stumped.

Both Sides French Braid: This casual braid is easier than it looks. Just loosely French-braid around both sides of your head, and unite the two braids at the nape of your neck. Bonus, Abby of Twist Me Pretty will show you how to take this simple daytime look to a braided side bun for night.

Half-up French Braids: This sweet braid is easy and adorable. Part down the middle, and French-braid the top layer of both sides. Bring the braids to meet in the middle, and secure with an elastic.
French Braided Pompadour: Put off the shampoo one more day with this French braid pompadour.
French Braid Ponytail: This pretty braided pony is great for a day at the office or a night out, especially when you’re rocking day-two hair. Start the braid at the crown of your head, and braid until you reach your preferred ponytail height. Secure it with an elastic, and tease your pony. Visit Missy Sue for the full instructions.

half-up Side French Braid: This braid is a little tougher; it combines a French braid, a lace braid, and a classic three-strand braid. However, Missy Sue’s tutorial video makes this gorgeous braid completely doable.

Mini French Braid: This teeny-tiny braid is not nearly as tricky as it looks. If you can French-braid, you can do it. The Beauty Department explains this look step-by-step.

Upside down French Braid with Knots: Embellish your topknots with a little French braid up the back. Tip: Braid while hanging off the side of your bed so the rest of your hair stays out of the way. Watch this video for more helpful hints.

French Braid Chignon: Start with a side part, French-braid both sides, and finish with a big messy bun.
Frozen’s Elsa French Braid: Sill there are many gals want to duplicate princess Elsa’s long soft braid.
Here are a few tricks on how to apply mascara on eyelashes, should you have a desire for clump free lashes, or you have short and straight ones too. Here are some of the best mascara for short eyelashes as well.

1. When applying mascara, start with the lower lashes first and then head on to dressing up the upper lashes. When doing so, start from the inner corner of the eyes and then go outwards. The curl should always be downward and the brush to the lid as well should face the same direction. This gives the lower lashes prominence and volume.

2. First use the brush in vertical strokes and then flip it the horizontal way so that each lash gets touched and they look healthy and full.

3. When using a mirror to dress up those lashes, keep the mirror down to look into it when dolling up the upper lashes. This helps prevent the mascara from falling all over or even on your dress!

4. Never use the brush straight up when dolling up the eyelashes. You should try and bend it towards the eyelids, so that it becomes easier to rub against the lashes when used. This is to be done when you want to flaunt a winged eye effect.

5. When dressing your eyelashes, it would be best to start from the root and then wiggle your way up. In doing so, the tight fit for the lashes would come through and the hand wouldn’t tire out soon.

6. When applying mascara, it would be wise to be very gentle so as to help the lashes pop out of the eyelid and to get as close as possible to the lash line as well.

7. For some serious volume to come through, applying a little mascara coated with baby powder on your lashes would be the right thing to do. Repeat after the first stroke of mascara over the baby powder is done, for serious volume and length.

8. To de-clump your lash just because you gave it an overload of mascara by mistake, you should use a toothbrush to remove the excess cosmetic!

9. Use the business card or the credit card trick here to prevent smudging from happening on the lash line. Place the card right above the lash line and then apply the mascara coating back and forth. You would have plenty of volume to flaunt sans the mess!

10. Bought new mascara and the first attempt shows you the liquid inside is too thick? There’s no need to worry. Place the bottle inside a tub of warm water for ten minutes and the liquid would thin away!

11. Twirl the mascara handle inside the tube and don’t just pull it out before using, because this would help do away with the clumped up affair!

12. Never knew that the good old spooning can work wonders when dolling up our lashes too. Here is an infograph that shows you how!

14. Instead of wearing your false eyelashes first and then curling them, save your time and energy by placing the false eyelashes on the brush stem and then with your fingers curling them- apply them next on your lids.

However, colored eyeliner is a tool that requires caution. While it can turn out looking bright and beautiful, it can also end up looking like you’re trying to turn back the clock to middle school–not in a good way. Fortunately, there’s no need to fret; read on to discover the easy tips on how to rock colorful eyeliner the right way.

1. Use a Liquid eyeLiner

There are many different colored eyeliner formulas available on the makeup market. If you really want to ensure that you pull off the liner beautifully every time, it’s best to invest in a liquid liner formula.

Many people opt for a pencil liner because they are generally easier to control. However, pencil eyeliners can often end up looking choppy, uneven, and disconnected, especially when it comes to lighter or brighter colored eyeliners. Liquid liners provide a line that appears much smoother, no matter what color you use.

If you’re worried about successfully controlling a liquid eyeliner, opt for a felt pen liner instead. These eyeliners have a similar smooth formula to liquid liners, but they come with a felt pen applicator that is easy to swipe onto your eyelids with maximum control and steadiness.

The Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner is an excellent felt pen liquid eyeliner with a marker-like tip that offers a wide array of bright, fun colors in blue, green, and orange. If you’re looking for different colors that the Stila liner is not available in, Kat Von D Lightning Liner is a high-quality liquid liner that offers several shades of purple and gold. The Lightning Liner does not have a full felt pen tip, but its brush tip is thin enough to allow users to maintain maximum control and steadiness during application.

2. Tone Down The Rest of Your Look

When you wear colored eyeliner, it should be the focal point of your look and should not have to try to share center stage of your face with dark red lipstick or shimmery strobing. If you choose to apply colored eyeliner, keep the rest of your look simple. Opt for neutral outfit colors that complement your liner, choose a toned-down hairstyle, and apply natural shades of cheek and lip makeup that only accentuate your natural coloring.

Keeping the rest of your look simple when wearing colored eyeliner is the easiest way to prevent your liner from looking childish and ensure that it appears bright and sophisticated instead.

3. Combine the Color

A great way to pull off colored eyeliner is to tone it down by combining it with a darker and more natural liner. To get this look, line your eyes as you normally would with a natural-colored eyeliner in brown, gray, or black. Make sure you use a pencil liner for this step in order to prevent two liquid formulas from muddling together once you apply the colored eyeliner. Next, swipe the colored liquid eyeliner of your choice on top of the black, gray, or brown liner. Blend the colors together using a sharp angled brush to create a smudged mix of colored and darker liner. You’ll end up with a beautiful blended look that provides the brightness and whimsy of colored eyeliner with a sophisticated twist of more natural dark liner that ensures a mature look.

If you usually use a liquid formula for your black or brown liner instead, it’s time to invest in a pencil liner in order to successfully pull off this combination look. The Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil is an excellent pencil eyeliner that is available in multiple shades of brown, gray, and black. This Urban Decay liner slides on and blends easily, which makes it the perfect choice for this smudged combination look.

4. Go For Dark

If you want to try out colored eyeliner but don’t feel quite ready to swipe on a bright pink or a turquoise liner, meet in the middle and experiment with darker colored eyeliners. Darker colored eyeliners are liners that look almost black but still have a hint of color mixed in. These liners are great if you’re hoping to achieve a subtle pop of color to mix up your routine without creating an overly obvious or severe look.

The right darker colored eyeliners can be difficult to find within the abyss of bright colored liners. However, they are available. NARS Eyeliner Stylo is a great felt pen liner that is available in Atlantic, a beautiful shimmery dark blue. Blinc Liquid Eyeliner is a true liquid liner that comes in Dark Purple, a deep plum hue with a hint of silver sparkle.

5. Pick a Complementary Color

Any time you’re dealing with colorful eye makeup, it is important to choose your colors carefully. The same rule remains true for colored eyeliner. When you’re trying to choose the perfect shade to debut your colored eyeliner look, don’t just pick the color you think looks brightest or prettiest. While this may seem counterintuitive, the fact of the matter is that your favorite color might not be the color that looks best with your natural eye color.

It’s important to pick colored eyeliner hues that complement your eyes, not ones that match them or clash with them. For example, if you have blue eyes, don’t select a turquoise liner. Instead, opt for plum, gold, or orange liner to bring out the blue in your eyes rather than wash it out and create a faded look. Blue, purple, and pinky eyeliners are especially flattering for those with green eyes. If you have hazel or brown eyes, green and gold liners help frame your eyes and bring out the natural warmth in them.

6. Stay Close to Your Lashes

Nothing looks worse than a colored eyeliner application that has a tell-tale gap between the lash line and the liner. While you can sometimes get away with a bit of space between your lash line and your eyeliner when you’re wearing a more natural color that matches your lashes, like black or brown, the same reality is not true when you wear colored eyeliner. Because colored eyeliner creates such an extreme contrast against the natural color of your eyelashes, any gap of skin that is visible between your lash line and your colored eyeliner is extremely obvious and creates a messy, immature look.

To ensure that you get your eyeliner as close as possible to your lash line without actually smudging it onto your eyelashes and creating a mess, start from the inner corner of your eye. Work slowly and steadily and press at a downward angle until you reach the outer corner of your lash line. Check if there is any visible skin by closing your eye and raising your eyebrow. This movement will reveal any gap of skin that you might have missed and allow you to fill it in completely.

Also, make sure to wait to curl your eyelashes until you have finished applying your eyeliner. If you curl them first, it can be more difficult to get your liner close enough to your lash line. Plus, curling your eyelashes after applying your eyeliner can help hide any small gaps between your liner and your lash line that you might not have filled in completely.

Applying colored eyeliner should be fun, not frightening. By taking advantage of the tips described above in this post, you can pick the right liner and ensure that you know how to apply it correctly to achieve a bright and beautiful look that makes you feel confident every time you wear it. Check out the best eyeliners on amazon.com!

Perhaps, you’ve heard or read it before that exfoliating is pretty important to always have a healthy glow. The effects of exfoliating on the skin are actually pretty amazing. It gives instant life to your boring skin. It is also every beauty icon’s secret and the not so secret of Korean glowing skin. It’s quite obvious: by buffing your skin, it gives your skin the rejuvenation it needs looking more smooth and soft.

But to get the most out of exfoliation, you have to know how to do it properly. Whether you bought a nice scrub or decided to do it on your own, make it effective by following these:

How to Exfoliate your Face

Exfoliate properly . | Image via Botanik Boutique

Follow these easy steps to exfoliate your face:

1. Make sure your hair is away from your face with the help of a hair tie or a headband.

2. Remove your makeup and clean your face with your regular cleanser. You need to have fresh, clean face for exfoliation treatment to penetrate properly on the skin.

3. Steam your face or wet a clean washcloth with lukewarm water and then place it to cover your face for 1-2 minutes. This will open your face pores, and soften your skin making the exfoliation treatment more effective

4. If you want to do it at home, you can either buy an over-the-counter scrub or if you like you can make your own as follow:

Into a small bowl, put three tablespoons of regular white sugar. Add to it one tablespoon of water or a few drops of Olive Oil. Mix sugar and water or oil with your finger until it is a slightly thick paste.

Buying? Nah! Just make your own. | Image via Savy Naturalista

5. Use your finger or put the paste onto a clean soft washcloth or rag and gently scrub the paste massaging in small upward circular motion over your entire face to remove dead skin. Continue this process until you’ve exfoliated the skin of your entire face. Do not use too much pressure. Let the exfoliating particles do their job.

6. Rinse the scrub off thoroughly with tepid or lukewarm water then splash your face with cold water to close the pores. Be sure you’ve taken all the scrub off or you’ll end up having a sticky face.

7. Pat dry your face gently with a clean soft face towel.

How to Exfoliate Your Body

Take good care of your body too. | Image via Red Online

You may have been doing exfoliation on your face but you also have to take good care of your body’s skin. It is amazing just how much dead dry skin we accumulate if we don’t remove it. The easiest and most common way to exfoliate is using a loofah or other scrubby cloth or sponge after the shower since this is when dead skin is super hydrated and it’s easy to scrub off dead skin. By doing so, too much pressure isn’t needed anymore which can cause skin damage.

At the end of the shower, after washing your skin with soap, shower gel or cleansing cream, massage your entire body in circular motion with a loofah. Always remember not to rub too hard to avoid any skin damage. Pay extra attention to areas prone to roughness, like elbow and knees, or wrinkling, like the chest and neck. It is also a great time to use a pumice stone on your feet – they also have dead skin. Using loofah won’t do you any good, but pumice is too harsh to use on other areas of the body. Don’t forget to exfoliate your hands too since they are almost always being forgotten. Thay are always exposed and need it as badly than the rest of you.

How to Exfoliate Dry or Sensitive Skin

Yes, exfoliation can be done by people with dry or sensitive skin too. Just start slower and use more mild methods but yes, it is for you too. By exfoliating, it helps your moisturizer to penetrate deeper giving you a livelier skin.

It is better for people with dry or sensitive skin to use chemical exfoliation and let the acids do most of the work and you don’t need to worry that you’re scrubbing too much with pressure. You can also include mild chemical exfoliation into your routine by changing your regular cream or lotion with one that contains lactic acid since it is milder than glycolic and is great at reducing ingrown hairs and getting rid of the chicken skin.

If you have sensitive skin, use creams or lotions with acid concentrations of 5% or even lower. These are also great to start out with and work your way up, or for those timid to try glycolic acid.

Always remember that alpha hydroxy acids make your skin very sensitive to the sun, or photosensitive. For this reason, it is really important to use sunscreen before exposing yourself to the sun.

Exfoliating Tips:

* You can apply the above exfoliation process at night before sleeping.

* To exfoliate your face, use products that are meant for face only.

* Do not over-exfoliate, you might end up doing more harm than good. Ensure to keep your face well moisturized at all times (you read it right – at.all.times), if you exfoliate regularly. Exfoliation causes the skin to become dry and the dry skin is prone to wrinkles.

* Take extra extra care with the décolletage. The skin here is one of the thinnest skin of the entire body. Use a gentle scrub on this area to prevent damage.

* Avoid heat post-exfoliation. Saunas and steam rooms are definitely a big no-no after body exfoliation as this can cause irritation to the skin. You should never exfoliate if your skin is burnt either.

* Work in a circular motion. For the rest of the body, apply and lather a small amount of exfoliator onto wet skin using circular massaging movements towards the chest, concentrating on dry areas such as the elbows, knees, and heels.

Follow the instructions and tips above to get soft, flawless, and glowing skin. You’ll be amazed at how healthy your skin can be and wonder why you never exfoliated before!

You can use a paper clip to turn a bra into a racerback, and even hide bra straps that poke out of sleeveless tops. See how.

Bra Clips

If you feel a bit stressed out on going the DIY way, then you can go ahead and buy bra clips. In fact, bra clips are much sturdier than paper clips, cheaper and come in various colour options in a single pack.

Sewing A Bit

Tucking the bra straps under your top is easy. You just need to sew a little tab into a tank so that the straps stay in place. And for that not much of sewing skills are required. Like?

You can also sew the front half of a strapless bra into a dress that’s backless.

Clear Bra Strap

Talk of clear strap bra and its virtually the same as transparent bra straps. The best part about it is that it lets you wear strapless fashion with total ease without compromising on support. Such kind of bra straps is perfect with any bra that has detachable straps.

Strapless Bra

Whenever you are in a mood to wear a strapless dress, it becomes difficult to hide bra straps. That’s where the relevance of strapless bra comes in.

Just sew cups into strapless dress, should the idea of it slipping down and revealing your breasts terrify you.

3-Step Bra

Even a simple strapless bra can be turned into an attractive looking brassiere, with the three-step bra. Makes it worthwhile to be worn with strapless and backless outfits.

Backless Bra

If you want to enjoy incredible support and wardrobe versatility, then backless bra is the perfect for open backs and tops. Such kind of a bra has clever design that ensures stay-put fit. It also has seams that stabilize and add extra support to your bustline. And then there are straps meant for added security, custom fit and comfort.

A backless bra is perfect for special occasions. See them as cleverly constructed bras which make it easy to stay discreetly modest, no matter the revealing dress design.

Preventing Falling Down

There is always a hidden fear with the strapless bra – whether in hi-fi party occasions or red carpet meets. What if the bra slips down?

You can prevent a strapless bra from tripping and falling off by securing it with a convertible strap.

Low-Backed Dresses

In case you are in the mood to wear low-backed dresses, then it is advisable to use a convertible on your bra.

Applying false eyelashes can be such a b*tch sometimes. The right application can make or break your makeup. With either strip or individual false eyelashes, you can make your eyes look bigger, fuller and more dramatic. But if you don’t know the first thing about applying false eyelashes, take a seat because we’re about to teach you how to get your falsies on the easy way.

Watch the video below, then keep scrolling for the step-by-step guide.

First off, you want to identify the shape of your eyes. This is important because the more you know about your eye makeup, the easier it will be to choose falsies that suit you.

Next, it’s time to choose the style or type of lashes that suit you. There are tons to choose from and the right choice depends on both your eye shape and your makeup look. Individual lashes will give you the most natural look. They take longer to apply, so we wouldn’t recommend them for beginners. Full strip lashes will give you the greatest range of wear and are the most common. They’re the easiest to use, but do not look as natural as their individual counterparts. Demi strip lashes, also called “half size” lashes are mostly applied on the outer half of your lash line. You can cut full strip lashes to create demi lashes.

Once you’ve chosen the type of eyelashes you’ll be using, you’re going to need eyelash adhesive. We recommend beginners use a lash glue that starts out white then dries transparent. Darker lash glues tend to mess with your eye makeup if you don’t get it right. DUO Eyelash Adhesive in Clear is the most favorite among reviewers and is also budget friendly.

Now that you know the basics and they’re importance, let’s get right into how to apply false eyelashes.

Step 1. Before you remove the lashes from their box, apply a matte black eyeshadow on the strip to make it seamless and more natural looking. Then when you take it off, always peel from the outer edge–always!

Step 2. Measure the lashes by resting it on your lash line to see if it needs to be trimmed. If so, trim the outside edge. Don’t cut through the lashes, always cut it at the “vein”. To prevent lashes from popping off, curl them around your finger or on a spoolie. This will help the lashes regain their curves since being in a box can sometimes flatten them out.

Step 3. Apply the right amount of lash glue–not too thin, but not too thick either. Run the tip of your glue on the strip and apply more glue on the inner and outer edges to secure it. Wait for the glue to get tacky before you apply it to your lash line. Avoid blowing on the glue for hygienic reasons.

Step 4. Look down, past your nose when you put on the lashes. This will give you a better view of your lash line and ensure your application is as smooth as can be. I like to place the lashes on the center first then fix the inner and outer corners above the natural lash line to cheat some lift and have the illusion of bigger eyes.

Step 5. You can apply a black gel or liquid liner on the strip to ensure no bits of glue or false eyelash show. Apply a second coat of mascara to bring your natural lashes and false ones together. You can also use an eyelash curler to prevent them from drooping.
