1. Tiramisu (Italy)
Try just a spoon of this dessert and you’ll love this cake for sure. Tiramisu literally means ‘pick me up’ or ‘lift me up’. Tiramisu is made by combing eggs, mascarpone cheese, ladyfingers cream, brandy, sugar, rum and grated chocolate or cocoa. There are diff approaches to tiramisu. Some focus on the espresso coffee flavor, others the chocolate shavings. Those components are definitely key but getting the lady finger dipped right is everything. 3. Pavlova (New Zealand, Australia)
Pavlova is a national dish of two countries – New Zealand and Australia. The main advantage of this dessert is a quick and easy preparation. You won’t find this cake in every coffee house. It’s served in restaurants and you can buy it in confectioneries. Or, of course, you can cook it by yourself. Pavlova is made of a meringue crust with whipped cream and topped with fresh fruits and berries. This dessert isn’t a high-calorie offering so even girls on a diet can taste it.

4. Baklava (Turkey)
Baklava is a must to taste if you’re visiting Turkey. It is widely believed that Baklava is a greek dessert, but originally these sweets originated in Turkey. Honey is the main ingredient for Greek-style Baklava. A light syrup (made from sugar, water and lemon juice) is used for Turkish Baklava as the main ingredient. Baklava comes in different shapes and sizes (rolls, squares, spirals, diamonds). This dessert is made with thin sheets of butter coated pastry. You can find these sweets with hazelnuts, walnuts, pistachios and other nuts.

5. Profiteroles (France)
France is a country with many tasty desserts. If you visit France, it’ll be hard for you to choose the sweets you want to try – decisions, decisions! Their croissants are well-known all over the world. But chocolate profiteroles are the ultimate winners in French cuisine. Profiteroles are small ice cream-stuffed puffs covered with chocolate sauce. This dessert resemble eclairs, but profiteroles are smaller and the filling is ice-cream. Profiteroles became really popular among dessert lovers and chefs all over the world started to cook these tasty treats. But you can feel a real taste of profiteroles only in France.

6. Apple Strudel (Austria)
You may think that apple strudel is just a simple apple pie. But there is one secret why this dessert is so tasty and why it became the national dish of Austria. The secret is a thin pastry. It must be so thin so you can read a newspaper through it. Strudel is stuffed with apples, cinnamon, raisins and bread crumbs. This dessert is served hot with a scoop of ice-cream.

7. Anmitsu (Japan)
Japan is a creative country and there are a lot of dishes we can’t understand and we won’t eat at all. But this dessert is really one of the tastiest desserts in Japan. And, what’s good, it’s a healthy kind of sweets. Anmitsu consists of such ingredients: kanten (agar agar jelly made of seaweed), anko (sweet azuki bean paste), syrup (mitsu), fruits, ice-cream and boiled peas. It’s served with black sugar syrup kuromitu. When you visit Japan, please, try this dessert! You’ll never forget it’s taste!

8. Kurtoscalacs (Hungary)
This dessert isn’t only tasty but looks funny as well! Children just love these sweets. It resembles a chimney, that’s why sometimes this dessert is called Chimney Cake or Stove Cake. It’s a helix-shaped pastry and made from sweet, yeast dough. Kurtoscalacs are rolled in granulated sugar and flavoured with sweet spices. When you visit Hungary, you’ll see a lot of people tasting this dessert. So don’t miss a change to try it too!

9. Churros (Spain)
The Spanish love to eat churros on breakfast, but they may be eaten as a day snack. This dessert is served in cafes and churros are sold by street vendors as well, so it’s also some kind of ‘street food’. Spanish call these sweets ‘a big French fry’. They can be thin or thick and served warm. Churros are drizzled with honey or sprinkled with sugar.

10. Mango sticky rice pudding (Thailand)
There are a lot of weird things to eat in Thailand, but this dessert is just a delicacy. It seems simple at first sight, just rice with mango. But the mango makes the rice really delicious and sweet. Two or three spoons of coconut milk and you’ll have the tastiest delight. And healthy as well. Even the Kardashian-Jenner sisters enjoyed this dessert when they took a vacation in Thailand.
