De Jong got married to her boyfriend Michael van der Plas in April 2012. They had their first child, a daughter in August 2012. In June 2015, their second child was born in 2017. De Jong and her husband of the tiem divorced. All this was featured in their own reality TV show.
On January 12, 2018, De Jong was admitted to the hospital due to a drug overdose. On the morning of 25 July 2018, De Jong was moved to the care framework after having attempted suicide by sliding out of the window.
