Having a great skin sometimes requires just a little bit of our time and money, so why not give it a try to these DIY products?


1. Chocolate Face Mask

It works as an moisturizer that prevents from blemishes; it also makes our skin glowy and can make it tighter thanks to the collagen production. Prepare a tasty face mask with 1/3 cup cocoa, 1/4 cup honey, 2 tablespoons heavy cream or sour cream and 3 tablespoons oatmeal powder.

Honey is full with antioxidants that slow down aging; it is an amazing moisturizer with antibacterial properties – to name few of the benefits. Make your own mask with 1 cup coconut oil, 3/4 cup raw manuka honey, 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon and 20 drops lemon essential oil.

3. Coconut Oil Honey Mask

This oil has antifungal and antibacterial properties and besides this, it works as an amazing moisturizer, leaving our skin soft and shiny. Prepare your own coconut mask, you need 1 tablespoon coconut oil, 2 teaspoons honey, and 1 teaspoon lemon juice.

4. Honey Oats Face Mask

You may wonder how oats can help you in having a great skin, but don’t worry – there is a reason why they’re so often found in many face mask recipes. The oats has anti-inflammatory properties thanks to which it soothes irritations and treats skin inflammations. Use a handful of oats, half a banana and a teaspoon of honey or milk, mix these ingredients together and that’s it!

5. Pumpkin Face Mask

Cinnamon is one really delicious spice that we love to eat in our desserts or drink in our cafe latte, but it can help us a lot when it comes to our skin as well. Cinnamon can dry out pimples and is also able to unclog and open pores by removing excess oil from the skin’s surface. Pumpkin can slow down the signs of aging and makes our skin smooth. For this mask, you need 4 tsp pumpkin puree, 1 tsp honey, 1 tsp yogurt and 1 pinch fair trade cinnamon.

The lemon is known for its antibacterial properties thanks to which is beneficial in fighting acne. On the other hand, turmeric treats inflammations and redness. Make your own orange turmeric mask with squeezed juice of 1 orange, squeezed juice from 1/4  lemon, 1/2  cup quick or instant rolled oats, 3 tbsp goat or Greek yogurt, 1 tbsp raw honey  and 1/2 tsp turmeric.

7. Honey Avocado Mask

One of the world’s healthiest foods is definitely this green, pear – shaped fruit. The whole world gone crazy for the avocado, so they can be easily find in many recipes, including food, drinks and in our case, even in beauty recipes. They will make our skin very beautiful and to make a mask, you just need two ingredients – 1/4 of avocado and a tablespoon of raw honey.

8. Banana Mask

The banana is a great source of potassium, thanks to which our skin gets hydrated and moisturized; it is also rich with vitamin B, that protects our skin from free radicals that cause premature aging and oxidative stress to our skin. Bananas also contain zinc that fights gems causing acne. These are just three reasons why you should start applying bananas on your skin! Make your mask with 1 ripe banana, 1 tsp lemon juice and 1 tsp honey.

9. Orange Peel Face Mask

For this mask you need three ingredients – orange peel powder, fresh orange juice and orange essential oil. Not only it smells amazing, but it will also make your skin feel that way. The orange peel powder treats dark eye circles, while it also prevents acne and pigmentation. The orange juice will provide our skin with vitamin E, that in return will help in reducing wrinkles. Use the essential oil for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.

10. Pineapple Yogurt Mask

The pineapple is a good source of vitamin C, bromelain and antioxidants – all three contribute in treatment and prevention of sun – damaged skin, acne and fine lines. The bromelain especially helps in softening the skin and fighting skin inflammations.To prepare a mask with this amazing fruit, you need (5) 1-inch pineapple chunks, 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons aloe vera juice and kaolin. Instead of kaolin, you can use coconut or oat flour.
